Glint's greatest fear revealed!
ComMan
Yeah, that's right Glint fears pets. She won't let them pass through the portal to her lair. O_o
After reading the endless arguments about how good/bad pets are in PvP, I decided to take some time to level my Warthog up to 20 and test him out. However, since I suck at soloing I'd been having slow going.
Now, the new patches added 3X exp for bosses, so I thought "where can I fight a bunch of bosses that's easily accessible with henchmen?" I treked to Dragon's Lair and had my pet TWICE dumped when we went through portals.
The first time was no real biggie, I skipped the cutscene for the first portal and discovered my pet was left behind with the Fallen. So I restarted and made sure not to skip any cutscenes from there on out. My pet stayed with the party up until the last area this time. However, when we were supossed to walk though the last portal, an earthquake struck. This could be the cause, but I'm not sure.
In any event, I reached Glint's lair with my henchmen, sat through the cutscene for fear that skipping it could cause my pet to get dumped again, and clicked the "Call of Protection" button. Low and behold, my pet was out of range! That coward Glint left my pet in the Facet of Stregnth area!
Notably, I was carrying Charm, Call of Haste, Call of Protection, Comfrot Animal, and Ferocious Strike. Thing's didn't go to well for my hences while I sat back with my 3 skills. Thanks a bunch pet.

Oink is the Undead Lich Beast Master.
He shall summon EVERY SINGLE animal that has been killed on his Assault on humans including.
Moa Birds/Striders
Bears
Lynxes
Warthogs(Elite Guards)
Stalkers
Dune Lizards
Spiders
Wolves
Cant think of any others right now.

Alright, my curiosity was piqued, I couldn't help but investiage Glint's "drop pet" skill further. Here's what I've gleaned so far:
If you skip a cutscene, your pet is dropped.
If you keep going after your pet is dropped, it will be with you after the next time you go through a portal.
Your pet is almost sure to drop at least once during Dragon's Lair, sometimes it will drop in every other area.
Dragon's Lair is not a good way to get your pet from 19 to 20.
That is all for now.

I had the same thing in the Dragon's Lair mission:
- After the 2nd and 4th portal my pet was suddenly absent
- Everytime my pet returned after the next portal
- I had it with me when I arrived at Glint
- I didn't skip any cutscene
It seems to be more-or-less random when a pet is dropped during the cutscenes in this mission. Or maybe it depends on the pet's location when the cutscene starts?

Oink is Hell in a can.
Me and a friend were running Gates of Krytia with henchies and did already until when end where we caught too much agro in the swamps and got ripped appart leaving only oink and myself alive. I had res signet so I made a mad dash back to the Mantle. Oink held the undead off while hanging out in the poison swamp while I made it to dry land barely alive.
Oink kills both of the undead. I come back to res, which unfortunately means aggroing then the boss and undead horse rider (forgot the name), so I signet my friend, he signets monk, all while Oink rushes in and distracts them. We focus everything we have on the boss and win.
We came out barely in one piece all thanks to Oink.

However, it also seems to drop your pet 100% of the time when you skip the portal scenes. Were you, by any chance, skipping those?
