Does Deep Wound reduce healing?

The manual says Deep Wound reduces healing by 20%. However, none of the skill descriptions back this up. Does anyone know if Deep Wound has any effect on healing or not?

It doesnt...not directly. It lowers your maximum health for a period of time. So if a deep wound is inflicted, u only see a condition triangle (dark red) on the health bar. There is no health degeneration, only this triangle. Of course if the person is taking damage he'll be much faster at 0 health. Healing this person is just as any other person. You can heal him until max health is reached, which in this case is a bit (20%) lower than normal.

(if u have mend ailment you can remove this condition, if you do, you should see a drop of health in his health bar, cuz his maximum health will go back to normal)

Im not so sure that it doesnt indeed reduce healing. For some reason when fighting often times I notice my heal spells doing *exactly* 20% less, I always figured deep wound was involved.

People tend only to do deep wound as a bonus to there sword attacks. They use that skill for he extra dmg when bleeding.

Confirmed! I tried it yesterday: got a deep wound inflicted and it said that it affected the healing too....

No stats on how though.

Actually, the healing stays the same, even if it seems reduced.

Let's say you've got max 100HP and current 50HP. If you get a deep wound, your new max HP will be 80 and your new current HP will be 40HP (both 20% less) - if you observe just the HP bar you won't notice a difference.
If you then receive a 20 HP heal, it's reduced to 16, and your current HP is 56.
When deep wound ends, your max HP jumps back from 80 to 100HP and your current HP from 56 to 70 - so in the end the healing is the same.
If the healing wouldn't be reduced, you'd actually get a boost after deep wound ends - you'd have 75HP.

The damage done to you though is increased for 20% while you have a deep wound.

the healing percentages pretty much stay the same , ur losing 20% of ur healthbar and losing 20% of your heals, so it may not look like it when your seeing peoples health going up and down but it is effecting it

yeah, but that's assuming that it ever gets a chance to wear off.
in the meantime their healing is knocked down 20%

Damage is technically increased by 25% as I tried to explain in the other thread. Or whatever... do people like posting in old threads? I hate that related thread function. Closed.
