imo, you should salvage the vampiric string, people are offering a lot of money for 5/-1 strings.

Yep... try for the salvage. Close your eyes... turn away from the monitor and click. The 5:1 is worth a lot.

Hmm Is the string worth more than 5 plat casue thats what I've been offerd now for the bow ?

String is worth quite a bit more than 5 plat... more like 60k or 70k last I checked. Although the prices can go higher and you have a good shot at it with only the one mod.

I heard recently that they changed salvaging for runes to that you have a 100% chance. I was also told that for weapons, you will always salvge an enhancement if it has one... I don't know if this is true or not, though (I failed salvaging a 10/10 about 5 days ago ). And I know you still fail when salvaging runes from armor.

So good luck on that salvaging, yea they are worth ~70k.
