Yes, you can create up to 4 characters, but the secondary class does not make it 8. A secondary class is simply another set of character skills that you can use in addition to your primary class skills. In other words, it is an addition to your primary character/class, and not something standalone.

No. You have 2 professions per character. One is your primary, the other is your secondary. Your primary decides what you can equip, What you look like, and also gives you a special attribute. Each class has it's own attribute, But you only get the one from your primary.

EDIT: Also, it isn't primary and secondary characters. It's primary and secondary professions, On one character. So, One character can have two different professions.
