It's music...like all music people have very different tastes. Its (usually) slow, peaceful music, kind of 'hey, lets go exploring' music. If you like it, great, if you dont, that doesnt mean it sucks. Its just not your type of art.

Not only for divine aura or the fancy headset... but also so I can get the soundtrack CD

the music is not my taste, but my criticism of the music runs deeper than that. There is little to no connection between the music and your environment. It's been over a decade since devs have figured out how to raise the intensity of the music during serious fighting and how to mellow it during moments of peace... and the sounds of the jungle should be tribal, the sounds of the desert should be... desertish, with high pitched vocals and Indian instruments and scales. Only the Ring of Fire has suitable music for the environment, and there it's only very subtle occasionally surfacing sounds that drag and are off key (hence adding to the mood). Of all the places in the game that received it, only Lion's Arch and Ascalon are even remotely fitting of the lOTR music laid over top of it.
Music aside however, I do love this game (er... voice acting aside too... terrible).
