The spam in LA d is ridiculous... both in trade and all.
Traders often spam all to get their product noticed in a different color, so here's my simple suggestion:
-> For the trade channel, make every other line light pink, and the other line dark pink.
I don't know how hard it would be to implement this feature, but it would allow people to distinguish lines and be able to see items being sold. With that in mind, hopefully sellers will stick to trade.

Or make the trade channel color customizable by everyone. That way you can set it to a color you like and spam away.
If this is done, it should only be the trade channel btw, otherwise morons would turn their text puse and use the normal channel just like they do now.

Yes his solution is new and I would love to see it implamented but many other threads already mention it. I don't want to start a flame war or be impolite but it seems that many repeat posts are made of this sight.

I didn't see any relevant threads when I searched (they were all about whining about spam, auction houses, or different solutions.)
Posting a new thread about a new solution seemed to be the logical choice.
Anyways, if players got to choose their own color for trade, it would make for a very colorful display..
Here's another way - players should be given the option to change alternate line colors in trade on their own client.
