Preorder Item Exchange

I know a lot of people claim that they're not worth it, but these things are decent enough to be used a good part of the game. However, unless you got lucky and/or lived in a specific part of the world you probably didn't get something you might have wanted/needed.

I have four characters, and none of them use bows. And yet I have an Ithas Bow on each and every one. So I basicaly am getting no use out of my preorder. I have a hammer guy I just started. I think it would be a nice little bonus if I could somehow exchange his Ithas Bow for the preorder War Pick. Perhaps some sort of trader, or a command like the /preorder one used to get it back if you destroyed it. A command that detroys the preorder item you have and replaces it with another one of your choice. Same as usual, customized. And make it just 1 exchange per character in order to avoid any kind of abuse switching back and forth.

I would very much like to have something like this, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only guy out there who didn't get any use out of the preorder items they got.

The preorder items sucked imho. I got a hammer. There isn't a sword or an axe afaik. Also, the damned hammer requires 9 hammer mastery I think. Most people say that preorder items from other games are only good for the first few levels and suck after that. Well, my hammer NEVER got used. It sucked forever. I'd have much rather had a hammer with a lower requirement that could be used pre-searing/early post-searing as opposed to the garbage that I was given. Useful for the first few levels is better than not useful EVER.

The choice between sword/hammer/axe doesn't really matter early in the game. It's not until you get to the point that you can afford 9 hammer mastery that it starts to matter. By the time you can afford 9 points in hammer, most people have decided to go with something else. Worthless IMO.

I liked the ithicas bow... I used it with my ranger for a long time.. even without the max req attribs it was still a decent bow. I traded it finally for a Zealous Chaos Bow of Lighting. With max Bow dmg stats. But I like that every time I make a character I get my iticas bow immediately... so If I want it its there... Its certainly better then most Pre-searing weapons, AND doesn't truly see its match (with reqs) till around lions arch areas... so that bonus was worth it. Can't say to much for the company that offered it ... but the item itself is good... The company that offered it (EB GAMES) ended up making me cancel my credit card because they gave it out to a 3rd party and they started billing me $9.99 a month. my bank brought fraud charges up against them for it...

The hammer stats aren't that bad if you have the requirements. The problem is that warriors have 3 weapons to choose from, and I'm willing to bet that there are more axe and sword users than there are hammer users by far. I've actually never seen or grouped with a hammer warrior, and I'm level 20. Without the hammer mastery requirement, the hammer's damage sucks badly. It's good for about the first 2 or 3 levels IIRC, but that's about it. The best place for a hammer to be useful is in presearing before a warrior has chosen a primary weapon and before you have found something with a better range than 4-7.

One of my guild mates lives and dies by the hammer... he loves his, but again he got it in hells precipice. so its one of the better hammers in the game, with a really good bonus, and upgrades added to it... But he does quite well with it... he uses some good adrenaline skills with it and he really takes off the heads... if you get my meaning... He does so decent Criippling dmg with it too...

The Best Buy shield was pretty good, until I found a better shield later on in the game.

I have all but two of the pre-order items (online stores and ebay pre-order kits ) & the collectors ed glow.

And that would be Chimeric Prism (from International preorder), and the War Pick (from Gamestop preorder).

Now the humerious part, my 1st character is Elem, now the 2nd one I'm eyeing is Warrior (Hammer Based).

Getting pre-order on ebay is very difficult now, it's almost all gold selling and pay someone to lvl you to 20 or "guides" compared to when the game launched.

[edit] I take that back do a search for "Guild Wars Pre" on ebay.

If anyone has any unused keys for the Chimeric Prism, or War Pick, please let me know.
