Ok here it is in a nut shell:

What I would really like to see is an increase in levels beyond 20.
if they set it up so that each chapter you get new classes, or even races, that would be great. And if every chapter you get the ability to advance another 5 levels progressivly getting the levels to level 100 by the last and final chapter of the evolving story line. And an updated character stat screen IE: DMG totals detailing the total dmg your equiped weapon does thats are linked to your attribute selection. IE:for every point in axe mastery and point in strength you see your dmg total and armor peicing totals are..... And last but not least a counter for you resistances IE showing how much restances you have against Fire,Cold,Lightning, and Earth.this interface can be like the Diablo 2 character interface screen.I believe that would be great for most HARD CORE PVE GAMERS.

As far as the PvP people they can just make so that the ones that dont like to unlock stuff can buy the skills they need to stay competetive with the people that play through the story and unlock there skills through environment game play. That should appease the HARD CORE PVP GAMERS.

Well thats my 2 cents worth.

PvP characters should be able to buy with experience! Also once you get to lvl 100 and the game's over it wouldnt work out to well for A-net! they should just keep going! Also if you only go up 5 levels wouldnt the game only be worth 1/4 of the percentage that you originally bought it for! A-net said that there would be "the same amount-if not more-stuff(sorry cant remember what they said exactly) in the game! if you only lvl 5 times than that would be less wouldnt it!?

And wouldnt the weapon totals differ depending on the enemies AL?

I would like more choices for appearance (hair, faces, clothes, armour) and I would like more than one race to play as. I'm very much an eye-candy person.

Im probibly going to get a fist in the mouth for saying this from most people...

Add in mounts
1 vs 1 arena
pet arena (could just be done with 1 vs 1 arena)

PvP'rs would like this one I think:In GvG battles you have a winning wall or something of the sort, if you win a GvG battle to a guild, a cape of that guild goes onto the wall.

Well as far as less content as you say I think it wold be par for the course.
Since the main game has limited content as it is right now.
And to answer the question why only 5 levels. well that is to keep most hard core rpg gamers happy as they can advance past lvl 20 but not to far keeping the player to Monster lvl balance in check. IE you gain 5 levels and the monsters gain 1-5 levels above you as it is now.
and why stop at level 100 well think about it, 100 divided by 5 = 20
Thats 20 chapters for the storyline. if anet puts out one chapter per year thats 20 years of fresh game play, or if they do 2 a year its 10 years of fresh game play. I think thats pretty damn good if you ask me.

Besides lets face it the game title wont last forever, by the time the last chpter hits the shelves I'm sure Anet will have made a new game title to enthrall their gamer audiance.

Lv 20 allows then to not go overboard with monsters power levels because players can reach lv 30 or something.

The reason people sould want to go above lv 20 is atribute points, more energy and hit points (the other option is seeing the character screen saying lv "something" that is beyond sad) and that can easy be provided with new items, runes and quests.

Thats the point of leveling IS to get the extra attribute points since you can still earn skill points with expierience. and the 5 levels isnt getting carried away as explained in my above post. its more a marketing ploy just give enough to keep em playin no more no less.

Lol if you gave it all away in one shot your game making carrier would be really short lived.

I'd like to see another attribute for each class and more attributes points (Still 12 max for each attribute). There should also be energy runes that add energy or add energy regen.

There also should be this big map of an evasion after you finish the last mission. There can be about 7 parties of 8 on this map at one time. It should be an on-going evasion of char/mursaat/some sort of monster, and they should have all professions. Each attack will last about 30 min. After the attack people can choose to leave if they want too, and incomplete parties can pick people who want to come in but don't have a group with them from a list which will be ordered by profession/secondary profession. If the people win the battle, then can get 5,000 xp and a bit of gold, or a discount ticket on armor . If they lose they just get sent back to town and the guards can just blow up a bunch of explosives. I think this will be really fun for those of love PvE. we can have one major district for this. A town with merchants and all that stuff (But you can't change your skills here) and a place where the monsters come in. Each person can sign up for guard duty and you can get 10k xp and some money and if you don't show up, you are banned from guard duty for a week. If our fellow guards fail, the monsters will go into the town and start to attack everybody. There will be a res shrine for us and everyone will have to kill the monsters to get rid of them. (There won't be any other attacks coming in until all the monsters are destroyed and we have new guards out there. Any suggestions for this?

For those who like PvP, a there should be an arena where we can make a team of 1-8 and face a selected or random team. This should also be availble in guild halls, and other guild members should be able to watch through someone else's view or an arial view. Also there should be an 8 team battle for pvp/hoh. There will be no priests, bodies do not disappear (Will help necros), you can not die when you are preparing to fight a team, even if you have killed the first or second team (Will make it so minion necros aren't over-powered). You will first be in a room with one team, you have to kill that team to move on. After you kill that team, you can pull the lever to open the wall, and go into a room where you fight another team, who did the same thing you did. After you defeat them, you pull the lever again and go into a room where you fight the final remaining team. I'll post a pic of what I'm talking about, I only did it with paint so its not equal and not to scale.

Please, no levels past 20. If you think we need more levels, then you are missing the ENTIRE point of a level cap.

As to what I would definitely like to see in the expansion; make PvP more interesting. As already was suggested, different maps, objectives, etc. would be nice, along with a massive, ongoing FFA arena where you can just join up for a couple minutes and beat the crap out of people

I'd like to see mostly what has already been promised:

A new map, new professions, new races, presumably new pets (maybe myth-based to accompany new races), plus:

- Auto-unlock of every skill and rune in the current game for purchasers of the expansion? Jury's still out on that one. It's tempting, but could make the gaming from this summer seem wasted. Maybe they should be able to unlock 10-20 GW-original skills or runes of their choice, upon registering.

- More visual options -- more dyes (white? brown? gold?) and more dye-ability (i.e. not just trim of ele robes, but can specify each different material zone), additional models and textures... (heard this one before)

- NO levels past 20. Remember, people with the expansions will want to revisit older areas and must not imbalance the game significantly by doing so. However, a couple of 15-attribute-point quests might work.... (still max attribs at 12)

The level cap should stay at 20. The whole point of it is that you shouldn't have to invest 500 hours into the game in order to be as powerful as the most avid grinders. Think about it. Extra health and attribute points wouldn't do anything to change the gameplay.

I don't really care about cosmetic issues. I'd like to see new armor types (something with +energy regeneration, -energy would be good), new skills, more information in the UI, new areas, quests, missions, and PvP arena types. A couple new gameplay dynamics would be interesting.

I'd like to see more races, more character visual options (hair, face, color, etc), more armor options, big new map, dual welding options for warriors, and most importantly! I'd like to see some kind of mounts. horses, reptiles, tandem bikes, rocket ships...I don't really care what it is ;-)

I think the level 20 should remain the cap. It balances the game ... nuff said.

Secondly ... imo, I think there should never ever in a million years be such a thing as runes that give energy and health regen benefits, it is even as it is, if your running out of energy then there are alternative methods. Having everyone regen at 5 pips instead of 4 will throw off the skill system. Utilize skills that give you the benefit, thats what they are made for.

I like the map idea, you put some thought into that.

Extra attribute points? why? its fine where we are at. Instead ... knock out refunds all together. I know there is a purpose for them, to stop characters from swapping in battles? maybe? but I think they should be either a) very easily attainable, not every 600 = 1 point or so. Someone said it was 250xp =1 refund point thats not correct. They should make refunds easier to obtain.

As for content, that Anets job, they get the bucks and went to school to build us a beautiful, rich, fully thriving game to enjoy. And i trust them this far, I am happy with what I got so I will let them go to town with Chapter 2+ without opinion ... I am sure we will seee many of the ideas we have posted in here ... just a hunch, plus some of there ideas which we as gamers cannot see. Perspective.

No real-time fighting.

Thats like Final Fantasy where everyone lines up and takes turns.
I use <spell/attack>
Character goes up hits the opponet(who stands still)
Next turn.

It is real time fighting. It is the upcoming one. They have three types of attacks: light, medium, and heavy. Real-time fighting is where you are pushing buttons to attack the enemy. Point-and-click is where you click on the enemy to attack him/her.

The whole point of a level 20 cap is for pvp reasons. Lets face it the game is called guild wars. The game is about pvp whether most will admit it or not. People who want more levels are looking in the wrong place, and regardless it won't happen. Anet has repeatedly said that the expansions will not be required to stay competitive. How could people be competitive 5 levels under?

11. a FFA arena sounds good, or maybe "king of the hill FFA"
12. a place on/in guild hall where you can 1v1 fight ect.
13. more skills, more elite skills
14. more spots in storage.
15. more/different types of pvp
16. new monsters
17. when you dye say a chest piece, you can chose to dye specific parts of that piece, as in, dye 1 part blue, another purple ect.

I'm not entirely sure this is true or not but heres what ive heard/read about what the expansions are...

1) every expansion released raises the level cap by 20 levels, every expansion is meant to be an entire games worth of story, quests, missions, maps, skills, etc...
2) New races are being considered but not for sure yet....
3)expansions are going to be released every 6 to 9 months.

now based on what ive written and what ive heard it would be most improbable to make an expansion a full game in 6 to 9 months. that is unless they were already done with one expansion when they released the full game, and were close to finishing the second and the third was well past planning and was in production... something along those lines...

now as i said some of these things ive read off the guild wars website, liike 6-9 month, new races, etc, and some of them are things ive heard from other people who play...

if it turns out that none of this is accurate, dont blame me . i just put this up for everyone to discuss whether they like it or not, and for most of the posts so far im gonna guess not...

Much more customization, like how you can customize your armor in Neverwinter Nights for example, or character look customization with many more options for faces, hair, tattoos, accessories, like in any PS2 Wrestling game.

I want to see massive arenas, where not only Player teams/guilds are, but also computer controlled enemies, to add to flavor.

I want to see new races/classes. More options for a ranged fighter and close combat person (maybe a Rogue, a Blademaster - Light Armored Fighter, Dwarves, maybe Charr as a playable race)

I want to see two-weapon fighting, as well as Two-Handed swords, Axes, Scythes, etc.

I want to see more options for using your second item (so that maybe Idols could be used with other skills, rather than just Blood Magic, or that Cestas could be used with Blood Magic, or Healing Skills etc).

I want to see new skills for every class.

I want to see massive new areas/quests, new lands to explore, a new threat to the world for PVE.

I would like to see more different runes, plus more universal ones, so that we have more options than just more health or damage reduction (maybe an energy bonus Rune, or a +1 to all skills Rune, which really wouldn't be that powerful if you think about it).

I want more options for Dyes, or a slightly better drop rate to actually be able to experiment more with mixing them.

More customization on weapons would be cool, so you can definately have your own unique look, while maintaining the basic "that's a warrior" mentality.

All these would be good for me...

Instead of just adding more levels how about adding levels in breakdowns of 10.

For example: you move up to level 20.1-20.2,etc then up to level 21 and so on. This way you are not getting so many high numbered levels. Once you meet the full leveling up then you can get more skill points and/or attributes.

Anet wont raise the level cap. Know why? They have already stated that "you do not need to buy the expansions to remain competitive". Adding in more level would mean that anyone without the expansion would get kicked in any PvP.

What they can add is asthetics stuff, mounts, more skills, more classes, different items, different features, different PvP games, ALOT more areas for exploration.

What I want is missions that are more fun. Think of something different than "run, kill, run, kill, heal, run, kill" . Something Like chasing an enemy boss, or an indiana jones style running from big boulder. Anything that would make the missions different and more enjoyable.

Oh and mounts...just to show off. And different pets, and mountable pets for the ultimate in pet control!

If there's a level cap raise it'll need to be the other side of time gap same as pre/post Searing, and would empty the Lv20 PvP environment of those who've move up to the expansion. Effectively it'd be a new game that you could import your GW-20 character into.

And they've said it's not gonna happen.

Mounts in combat would be tricky to implement: what if your PvP opponent or PvE teammember hasn't got the expansion? They'd be cool though. Mounted combat skills would be required... Some classes might not manage too well mounted.

I like the level 20 cap.

I would like to see . . .

1. More character slots. 4 is annoying.

2. More armor, faces, hairstyles, etc. Be cool if we could choose a bodyweight (ie slim, medium, large, or whatever).

3. Gwen! Someone mentioned her and things in the game seem to lead that we will run into her again post-ascension. Broken flute, tattered cloak anyone? Both of which are in very different areas.

4. Events, if that's doable. At the end of beta we had these fun little events (or as I call them), which always resulted in death it seems but it's fun anyways. Unexpected spur of the moment stuff is great. We are the gnomes who say ni! Something fun like that every month would be awesome. Another game I played had holiday events. During a major holiday a tempory quest would open - like for Christmas there was a quest to receive a santa hat. Fun times.

You're forgetting that this game is not a MMO. its more like d2 the WoW. Several of the things on your list are not feasable. For one thing you can't put mounts in this game. Mounts are used for traveling large distances faster. Since you dont do taht in this game they are not neccesary.

I think the level cap could be raised... If it was at the end of another map like HoH is now... And as long as GvG is sectioned off by level as well... No imbalance then...

Otherwise, keep it at level 20...

If I wanted WoW, I would've bought WoW..... I just wish that everyone who wants this to be a free version of WoW, to go get a job and pay for WoW...

Horses? Why? Once you've been somewhere you can go there in seconds, why would you need a mount?

Food? One of the most annoying things about EQ was the food system... The fact that you had to waste space in inventory for food was annoying...

1v1? Only feasible if added to the guild hall... Else leave it out....

Rest system? They have that... can't you see your healthbar rising after combat finishes?

Climbing? Where are you going that you need climbing skill?

Swimming? No. Just no.

Though I did see two I would add to my list... Auction houses and Guild Alliances... Those were the only two that I agreed with....

swiming no? when theres visible areas of Pre that you could, in theory, swim out to and explore?

resting and food, well they would have to depend on you not getting health back from just standing still...otherwise, they would have to make it so slow that impationt pees would stuff their faces to get health back...

as to go get a job to pay to play WoW....Lhasta llithamin! i HAVE a job and its a bit blinkered to sugest that everyone that plays GW is playing it cause its free and we're all sponging off the state, otherwise we would be working and playing WoW.

i guess they mean mounts for the huge areas of between the point-on-the-map. if i wanted to go to say, the tower in wizards folly, i still have to run all the way from foibles fair, but with a mount, you could ride there...

guild alliances can be dodgey, though, so would have to make it a (sigh the dotted line when u buy the game) thing where just cause your mates guild got owned by another over and over, that you dont go in and constantly do the same to the guild that got them, if you get my meaning.
other than that, theres not much that GuildMaster said that i dont like^^ he got most of my buttons..
