Any tool for assisting team formation in the pipeline?

I really enjoy playing team PvE. Atlas, forming a team takes so much time. Unless I'm missing something, there seems to be no efficient way to find a group of people who need to complete the same quests. Does ArenaNet have any plan to address this?

I don't understand what you mean..? For missions, go to the busiest district, and either invite yourself to a forming team, form a team, or just say in local that you're LFG. For quests, there's never any need to get a party, since, due to the fact that you're in an EA, and not a mission, you and your team of henchies can just zerg the objectives over and over, ressing when you die.

I think what he means is that you got 5 quests in area X, someone else got 3 quests in Area X , and there is no way to find that person and complete at least the 3 common quests.

Usually you advertise for Quest 1 [but actually have 5 quests to complete] , but other person really wants to do Quest 3 [even though he needs to do Quest 1 too], so he doesnt respond until someone asks for Quest 3 specifically.

Sure you can use henchmen and go out, but it is still more fun with people and usually more efficient too. Plus later in the game it does become difficult enough to prefer players over henchies.

I fail to see need to "fix" anything here. People want to do their quest not yours? Tough, find other people. Not everyone wants to do every little quest for some measly 250exp, so it's not surprise it's hard to find one. Henchies are enough for vast majority of quests, especially those less popular - since these are generally easier&less rewarding.

What I meant was a better way to advertise the fact that you're looking for teammates than the chat channel. Something like a window where you can see other players who are also looking to group and whose quest list overlaps yours. Makes it easier to put a good team together when you have a list of candidates in front of you.

Yeah, I kind of agree here, also with Tombs.. When I played FFXI, for all the faults it may have had, it had one of the easiest party making tools in the game. As easy as typing /sea all whm 60-65 Just an example, that would give you all the white mages between levels 60 and 65 in the game, their status in party, their subjob, and the ability to quickly send them a tell or invite. I wish when I entered, say, iron mines of moladune, I can click an LFG button that crosses all the home districts, and puts me into a list. Then, a party leader (or anyone that wants to form a party) can open that list, see name, job, level, district, send them a tell, or invite if they're in that district. That would cut a lot of this stupid district hopping I'm forced to do every time I want a PUG for a mission.

Perhaps they could just make the name of everyone who's on the same quest as you red.
