currently i have been messing around with different builds for my warrior/mo and well im sure all you guys have noticed a w/mo with a healing secondary is useless. but on the other hand a w/mo with a protection secondary is very very nice to have i was able to heal myself and stand up to most people even the godly spike elems who claim to have infinite energy and can tank 48 warriors at a single time my current build is as follows

13 axes (superior rune)
12 protection
10 strength (helmet + minor rune)
some left over points

Axe Moves
Penetrating Blow
Dismember
Axe Rake (runners)
Executioners Strike
Disrupting Chop

Protection Spells
Shielding Hands
Guardian
Shield of Regeneration (elite)

i can actually heal myself! omgz lmao and ya its not so bad 2 LOW LOW cost support spells and i can heal myelf plus an ok offense and i like it its fun and can hold its own

I wouldn't use Guardian if I were you. It lasts a very short amount of time and, since you don't have DF, it doesn't heal you. Personally, I'd go with Protective Spirit or Reversal of Fortune.

yeah go with reversal its only 5 which would be ok for your warrior, protective might mess up your energy somewhat

Wow, so powerful he is!

Untill he gets blinded and weakness... Then he stands around scratching himself waiting to die or prays that his team's monks notices him and decides to mend condition [hopefully said monk wont' get disrupting chopped ^_^]

lol if you havent noticed the build the W/Mo has was made to take a beating and while there are 4 people hitting me my team/guild will be like "hey! lets go pound the crap out of Yukito Kunisaki's monk/spiker/mesmers along with other people who think they are wicked cool (hope i said that right) that enjoy taking in japanese names that they probably have no clue what it means and not reading up above that it isnt the best template!

but flame on mr storm!

Your team should be dead before you get attacked. The normal thing to happen is that you get blinded, weakened or hexed. Then the opposing team happily forgets about your excistance and kills everyone else. Even if they don't bring anything to lessen your damage, they still aren't going to focus you so your self-preservation goes waisted.

Servants of Fortuna

This type of build is easy to play for beginners but hard to play efficiently in a good PvP environment. What most players don't understand is that it's neither more powerful nor more efficient than any other profession. It may seem more cookie-cutter, but it's not. As a monk, there is nothing more easy to counter than a badly build w/mo, however being 1v1 against a good warrior is a very scary perspective.

For the records, spikers are not designed to kill tanks, they are good to kill healers by surprise, and a good E/Mo will blind you, hide in a ward, out-heal your damage, nuke your healer, butcher your team. Once it's 8v1 or 4v1, you'll be easy meat for your opponent.

Basically you have to keep in mind that a warrior will rarely be attacked by a decent opponent because his armor doesn't make him a desirable target. So using protection spells to keep yourself alive is probably not the best strategy. It's good in PvE, and it could work against newbie opponents in random arenas, but you won't be an asset in the Tombs or against good teams.

PVP Changes

Personally, I would ditch guardian and shielding hands. Instead I would use Life Bond and/or Life Barrier to keep your weakest allies alive when they are strongly attacked, a hex/condition remover to keep dealing damage when you've been blinded or weakened/cripled, as well as to clean your allies of dangerous mesmer/necro hexes... Moreover you could choose the powerful Mark of Protection as elite since you're not spamming protection spells anyway. Last but not least, you might want to equip a resurrection spell, and to be the main rezzer since nobody else can do a rebirth/signet more safely than a w/mo.

Your main role would be to tank and to deal continuous damage to keep opponent monk running. You would be able to get rid of pesky conditions to deal damage. Your monk half would absorb dangerous damage spikes through Life Bond (watch that he's not been removed or recast it). If things get ugly, you could throw a life saving MoP, and even resurrect.

PVE Changes

Ditch deep wound & cripple, and guardian. Equip Rebirth + a condition remover when you expect to meet conditions.

and that wasn't a flame. it's a known fact that warrior's are the easiest class to make useless & counter in this game. Thankfully, W/Mo's are tougher to counter with the right setup than a W/N

ok so Warriors are easy to take out of commision... great wonderful I bet a caster with no energy can do a whole lot or a caster getting knocked down or a caster with that one stupid mesmer skill that does dam every time they cast or how about (insert alot more examples here)..

sorry for that I am just sick and tired of people saying Warrior's with blind are useless blah blah blah.. what we cant block tank keep agro mitigate damage.. and the warrior that gets shut down that easily should have came prepared or at least asked the monk to bring some healing conditions...

Instead of buffing yourself W/Mo (protection) buff your monk, life bond, protective bond, or life barrier (elite). The W is the last one attacked and the best way to be a "tank" is use enchtments on your monk, you know that guy that always get focused fired on, of course they will be rended but then cast again.

Do you realise that W/Mo as tanks are pretty useless, since W/Mos don't get targeted till last.
