Someone posted on an auction that having a bow with the damage while echanted was the worst type of bow to have .Is this true and if he meant that having more in your expertise is better than in your markskmanship I
realize that is good but if there is another more particular reason that its bad i'd like to hear of it .

thanks

It depends on your secondary class, and whether or not you actually use it - a lot of rangers tend to go with 8 ranger skills, because their primary side can be rather demanding. A Ranger/Monk, Ranger/Elementalist could easily benefit from +15% while enchanted, since for monk there are maintained enchantments and for elementalist there are conjures and attunements for long-lasting enchantment love, and that's just what you can provide: teammates can easily cast an enchantment on you if properly coordinated.

I think +damage while enchanted is much better than +damage while health below 50% (you're in danger of dying, you're either going to be dead soon or above 50% health again), or +damage while hexed (relying on enemy actions before you get a damage boost?): both are too situational to rely on.

Even +damage while in stance loses out at times against while enchanted I think, because you're the only one who can cause your ranger to be in a stance while enchantments can originate from a teammate, and stances generally don't last that long forcing you to continually recast your stance (doesn't have to be an issue in certain builds). Ofcourse enchantments can be ripped off more easily than a stance, which evens things out again.

For a ranger +15% while health above 50% is probably best, but followed by while enchanted or in stance, depending on your team and build.

There's nothing wrong with it, it's just that being enchanted is less likely than, say, being in a stance (Tiger's Fury) or being above 50% health.

You need to have points in Marksmanship to use a bow.

Also, you have to remember how many mobs (and from what I hear, how many PvP PCs) like to shatter enchantments.
