I thought it would be nice to have a weapon upgrade list showing the min and max stats for all the different upgrades available.

I will start with all the ones I know, and there stats as far as I know. please if you know of a mistake, or know of upgrade I didnt put down. post here and I will ammend it to this post.

For the Slaying grips, (e.g. Trollslaying) you should just say [monster]slaying, since there's an assload of different monsters for them.

My strategy guide also says it's 10-30% but I think it's full of shit.

Defensive items also go from 4-8, not 2-5.

Oh and you can have defensive staff heads.

Don't forget the random un-upgradable mods you can have on items.

10-20% under half health
10-15% over half health
10-15% against hexed
10-20% while hexed
10-15% while stanced
10-15% while enchanted
10-15% anytime with -1hp degen or -10 armor while attacking

10-20% faster cast using X skills
10-20% faster skill recharge using X skills
5-10% faster cast using all skills
5-10% faster skill recharge using all skills

mods you can have on artifacts are usually +10-45 health while (condition) and +4-8 armor while (condition)

on wands you can have +1-5 energy under a condition

faster recovery from dazed/crippled/poisoned/blinded/bleeding/deepwound/disease

on shields too I think they have 10-45hp under hexed/stanced/enchanted
-1 to -3 damage taken under a certain condition or 2-10% of the time.


...of course these aren't upgrades, but still! >.>

Oh, and you can have even more specific defenses, as well.

For example I found a rare shield the other day with +8 vs Slashing, and my friend found a rare buckler with +8 vs Cold.

Another thing is that on shields you can have a +1 (skill) (10-20% chance while using skills)

the 2 aforementioned shields had +17% tactics and +19% blood magic respectively, and I just found a +16% divine favor eternal shield the other day....which is useless since divine favor and strength are both class-specific speclines -_-;;

Incorrect. Max on Defensive upgrades is Armor +5.

Max on Shelter (vs. physical) and Warding (vs. elemental) upgrades is Armor +7.

No such thing as a barbed hammer haft. Why lengthen the bleeding duration on a hammer if the only way to cause bleeding with it is through Desperation Blow?

I had an axe of defense with armor+6 (but it had that when it dropped). Gold item which I have not salvaged to find out if it might be an actual mod or if it is just a built in mod....yet.

I dont know about the max, but hale staff heads I think have a minimum of +3 hp. They aren't as strong as fortitude wrappings.

i have a question, i have a staff with 2 3 upgrades and is max dmg. i dont like one of the upgrades as it doesnt go with my classes, i would like to take a upgrade from another staff and put it on my other won but i dot know what upgrade goes with wich one ( like is the one i want to replace the staff wrapping or head). is there any why to find out with out destroying the great weapon i have. plz help me

Give the stats of yur staff and I can help you out. For example: Hale Holy Staff Of Defense. Okay, the Hale part will have a plus to health and the defense part will say something like +5 to armor. There should be a list of upgrades and thier prices around here somewhere. Just do a search, find the list, compare what you have to what's on the list and that should tell you which upgrade is which.

Not at this time. They can have inherent modifiers (extra energy/health, fast casting bonus, etc.), but can't be upgraded. The Frog, I believe, hinted at such upgrades as a possibility in the expansion though.
