I really freekin miss guildwars, I was going through my screenshots and I began to wonder, What is everyones favorite weapons? Mine is the bow, I love the range that the longer bows have and it makes such a great sound as it enters flesh So what is your favorite weapon?

Since I tend to drift towards being a Ranger, I would have to vote for bows.
Even just going by name, doesn't the Halfmoon Bow just sound cool? But then again, Dragon Sword is a pretty cool sounding name as well.
Otherwise, I'd have to go with the Reaper from Perfect Dark for N64 or the Chicago Typewriter from Resident Evil 4 for GCN

Oh well, if I'm limited to what available in the game, I prefer the speed of a sword, though after the last BWE I might convince myself to use an axe, Slower speed but a higher damage range.

I don't like wide damage ranges, but I like the axes in this game.
Hammers & swords look cool too though ^_^. I don't like staves / wands.
I'd like to chains / whips / snake swords in GW at some point, cos I really like'em.

Now polearms... if lances and spears were in Guild Wars, I'd be a very happy man. Nothing reeks of style quite as much as a lance. As is stands, though, I have to give my vote to the closest thing to polearms: staves. Knobbly polearms that throw purple gunk.

Axes. My Monk/Mesmer swings one, decent damage, fast enough attacks and looks cool. It's all about the look
I too would love a polearm, though I'd probably go with something along the lines of a bill or bill-guisarme or some such. Naginata would be awesome... but then you'd be dipping pretty heavily into asian weaponry and the game seems centered on european weaponry, so the bill/fauchard types would be the way to go.

I'm actually inpressed with the quality of bows in this game. Usually, I've found bows to be as useful as throwing feathers, in other games.
It depends on if I'm doing anything where I'll be in close combat or fighting from a distance. For distances (such as when I'm going magic-heavy), it's bows or powered staves / wands. If I do close combat, I prefer axes (which aren't as potent in this game, but at least they're reasonably balanced.

I like swords. ^.^ It's always so much fun to wade into battle hacking and slashing.... but my beloved mesmer isn't so good with the sword.

Ohh Staffs are for me...but sure would be nice if you could do damage with the staff when hitting the enemy,,,,, Then comes the sword for a 2nd choice.....
