I do believe this has been discussed at least once, if not thrice, over the course of this thread.

Well, whatever- I was under the impression that order doesn't matter even when mixing two of the same dye, but since everyone keeps their dye in stacks it shouldn't matter anyways. If someone reeeeally wants to test this, they're more than welcome to.

By the way, the new "brown" dye that's available at PvP creation has been asked about a couple times on GWO- anyone been able to recreate it?

(For my money, I'd say that red+green+black would make a pretty close match, but I haven't had time/money to experiment with it).

I have a mix for a dark blood red color..have to wait till I get home to find it, but I'll post it up here for you.

Unfortunatly the answer is no since none of those are blood red and since the 3 dye mixes are too different on the chart from the actual color on the armor to be useful. I believe I eventually used a 4 dye mix (without black) to make it since I didnt have enough gold to mix black dye in.

Ok found the mix: blue+pruple+green+dye remover
There are many versions of this color but this one doesnt require black thats why I like it.

Looks like this on the 15k necrotic female

I think I have the recipe for a color that is very close to that one for my necro tormentor and mesmer virtuoso. I'll have to check later to see for sure. If not, then let the mixing begin! (man I need a new hobby...lol

I got this reply from a thread I posted! This is a warning...BE CARFUL WHEN DYING YOUR RANGER MASK BROWN! The standard PY does pretty much nothing. So its very difficult to get it brown. I hope this goes here. I'm just trying to help using help I got!

I think Valareo's most complete chart had 3-dye combinations, but it only shows what color the bottle will be. Each armor will dye differently so the bottle color isn't always the color you will get. Also there used to be a few 3-dye charts for some of the armors, but they are no longer on there. I'm actually not sure why they are gone since I just noticed they were missing when you asked.

EDIT: For some reason I cant get that chart to work. Hmm I have another link to it around here somewhere.

I saw several times a Gladiator armor dyed nice blue color. that was light blue, like wind. Really nice

Fezz and I are working on it. We had it done the other day, but due to unfortunate video card issues or capture issues, we have to redo it. Look for it soon-ish!

Gotta say though, while I was modeling it, I found it has a lot of variety and some of the best dyeing of any armor set I have seen to date.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but for some of the armor dye charts the screenshots were taken against a fairly dark background which made it hard (for me anyway) to make out some of the colors. Besides that excellent job

We went though a few different backgrounds till we found one we liked. The background you see for the FoW Monk is the standard I use now.

Its what I consider the "best" light, its not the darkest, and not the brightest.

Does anyone have a screenshot of Black 1.5k Druids for Female? I just got mine and I dyed then silver and am absolutely lovin' them... I can just look at my armor for like 15 minutes... heheh. Anyways. I have the money for black but it would be all my money so I was lookin' for a screenshot and I can't find one anywhere... Thanks.

Trade some to a friend, but the ones you didn't trade in your storage. The the ones you trade back from your friend, now you have 2 stacks. But keep in mind this is waste of time and storage space.

Hey, since there isn't any chart for dying shields,I'm looking for some dye combos for my Crimson Carapace shield.

Maybe a gold/bronze look that is different to the yellow'ish default.

I may consider a silver look as well. So post any suggestions (and screenshots) if you have any.

Carapace shields dye pretty much the same as 15k gladiators armor, so you can use that as a guide.

You can use the Male one, just remember when looking at it that on Female armors the Colors will turn out a little brighter.

I've tried somemixes from the male chart.
Everytime it was a very different color.
(not brown but orange or yellow)
When I'll be rich again (spend 10k on dyes this weekend), I'll post you some pictures

Here are a few you might want to try:

Red+Orange+Green+Green
Purple+Orange+Red+Green

Also as a way to save a little you can use Dye Remover in place of Green, since on Mesmer Armor they are the same thing.

Those are all I can think of without seeing how the mixes you used where off, hope it helps.

I have checked in the dye chart topic but ther is only the monk fow armor.

Those all those combinations you can check the charts I have posted(Except for the one with Black).

But I don't think any of those will be the color you are looking for. I would suggest trying Red+Green+Purple or Red+Green+Green or Red+Green+Green+Purple. I think one of those might give you results closer to what you are looking for.

Ok, I just did some testing, and Green+Red is probably your best choice without using a Black Dye.

Fezz, Green+Red makes a redish "Clay Brown" which looks more red-orange than brown IMHO, I have tested it personally before on my monk's scalp design.

Chris, Pure white is normally Yellow+Silver+Silver+Silver. On female 15 Druids it looks almost light white leather. I have seen this combination before quite a few times and personally, I like it.

I was wondering if any generous soul would be willing to test a dye combination for me on a trustworthy* armor set. The combination is as follows.

(Red+Silver) + (Orange + Black)

If you could post both a screenshot of the vail and a screenshot of what the color looks like on the armor I would be very very gracious.

*15k Glad's, C. Carapace Sheild and Necromancer's Armor are probably the most trustworthy. PLEASE no mesmer or monk armor sets as they tend to warp the color.
