Yeah, FWIW, here are my suggestions. Some are my own, some are excellent suggestions posted by others which I felt needed reposting. Except for the last one I've tried to keep it to the simple ones, the ones which'll definitely not break game balance. The last is a pet peeves, though, so I just had to add it.
* Each player gets a different color when drawing on the tactical map. Partly to identify people goofing off, but it'll also help to know who suggests what.
* Ability to add persistent comments to the overview map - e.g. I'd like to be able to add "pushpins" with comments so I can have an easier time finding bosses with skills & collectors when I return in the future. Even just persistent different-colored pushpins without comments would help a lot. To avoid people abusing the system through placing millions of pushpins just to mess with the servers, each player could be issued, say, 200 pushpins.
* A votekick function. Any player can initiate a votekick against another player by typing /votekick <name of player to be kicked>, and if 3/4 or or more of the players types /vote yes, and at most 1/4 of players types /vote no or abstains (doesn't type anything) within one minute, then the player is kicked out of the instance back to town, and replaced with a random henchman. There should only be one votekick open at a time, and each player should only be able to call votekick once per ten minutes (or even per mission).
This would make it difficult but not impossible to get rid of misbehaving players when in an instance, without having to abort the instance.
* An easier method for finding/grouping with teammates. When you're trying to start playing, or after teleporting to town from a quest, chances are the team is scattered in different districts, and even after getting into the same district it's hard to find eachother because of the clutter of other players.
- One suggestion could be that if you double-clicked on a name in your guild or friends-roster, and that person is in the same district, your avatar would attempt to run to him. If he isn't, you should get a message saying that he's in another town, or another district. (Strictly it isn't necessary to "meet" eachother before going out on a quest, but it somehow feels better.)
- Another suggestion could be to make it easier to /invite, e.g. through an invite hotlist or shortcut, e.g. right-click a name in friends/guild-roster, and select 'invite'. That way the group could reform without everyone having to find eachother.
* Functional /ignore. Sorry, but just being able to filter whispers don't cut it, I can't remove the traders and beggars cluttering up the ALL channel with that. Either make /ignore function the way one'd expect it, or, in the interest of communication, make a new command, /filter <playername> which isn't persistent (/ignore is persistent, right?) but which filter out all communication from <playername> on all channels.
* Time for my pet peeve. Sorry, but here goes:
Make Alesia more defensive. She's got an annoying tendency to rush into melee, and in later missions that, together with the fact that all monsters will concentrate on her, means she's dead unless you're a monk or necro and a) draw even more aggro than she does and b) can heal her. It's pretty much impossible to solo the ascension missions if you're not a monk or necro, all due to Alesias behavior.
I love this game BUT...

But I like the idea nonetheless; however, I think 200 is too many. 4 characters x 200 pushpins = 800 x # of guild wars copies... as you can see it gets very taxing, very fast. Maybe 20 max per account or something....

Pushpins use very little storage. Each one would consist of x,y,color coordinates, probably just a few bytes of storage, plus perhaps 100 bytes worth of comment. It's nothing compared to the storage requirement of the game keeping tab of where you are, what gear you've got, your name, your stats, what quests you've done, what guild you're in - and the game already does that. We're likely talking less than 100 kilobyte of storage, total, on the server per player (w. 4 avatars) for 200 pushpins with a 100 letter comment each.
Screenies are about 1.5MB each, plus they're not indexed, so you either have to rename them manually, or have to look through all of them to find the area you're interested in. And switching out of the game to look takes at least 10 seconds.
