Last Man Standing Arenas

How about a last man standing arena.

Instead of 8 man teams have 1 man team's and the last man standing wins. May need for the computer to match you with your own proffesions.

As a monk primary I would simply stand in the center and heal myself into infinity until the other 7 people grew interminably bored and left, granting me victory by default.

during a FFA if i saw a monk sitting in the middle i would deffinatly suggest all 7 other attack you and you would die pretty fast espically if me being a ranger would interupt your healing spells

Yeah, monks would by default be the first to be targetted. Once the monk is down, they all battle the next biggest threat, etc. I like the idea though!

It's an ok idea. Not really the thing for support players like necros and memsers. I think elementalist would win easily, but thats just what I think.

To say nothing of the fact that by the time you noticed me, you would be on the ground dead because everyone else decided right away to kill the ranger first.

the monk strategy would only work for a few weeks if even that long. People would start realizing that if any of them are to win they would have to team up against the monk first. So you would have 7 people kill the monk then going nuts on each other. I think it would be cool. Have a very small, tight arena with 20 people standing in a circle and the GO!!! Of course, this one more than any requires spectators

I'm really not sure how random pvp is fun, much less 1v1 pvp, which is horribly skewed because so few classes are self sufficient.

it's just the general chaos of it. Ever been in PvE and walking through somewhere, you see a lone ettin so go to take his ass out, then 4 more come running around the corner, 10 scarabs burrow out of the ground and 5 hydras come out of nowhere!! Chaos! It's a rush, a sudden burst of RL adrenalin.

i highly want a 1v1 arena i thought they were gona do one of those in the guild hall... but nooooooo we just had to spend 56k on our special guild hall... doh. i wanta 1v1 it would be fun maybe a all chaos 50000000000000 people ffa kill yep

why would a ranger be killed first over a monk?, if i saw a monk HEALING himself im sure id attack the guy over there doing nothing?

On that "Beat up Monk first", I'd love to turn up smiting to 16, load up on Balth's Aura et al, slap armor of earth and see how many I can drop in 30 secs as everyone beats on me.

Just humoring myself. Monks aren't supposed to take on 7 others.

Though one of these days i'm gonna go smiter to just teach those pesky warriors a lesson who come for me in Arenas like a 500 lb bozo who hasnt eaten in a month.
