hi. This game runs great; but after a while running in a window; the game crashes (~2 hours or so). By crashing; I mean the screen turns plaid; and it hard freezes the entire computer. If I were to run it full screen; its fine (i've had it running 15+ hours straight w/ no issue fullscreen)

I'm running an AMD64 3000+ winchester in a k8n neo2 plat w/ 2x512 mushkin green and a bfg 6800gt oc; all running at stock speeds.

I have tried 4-5 seperate graphic drivers; from omega till 77.50 (which i'm at now)

Any ideas...?

For grins try hitting the M key to get your map screen. If it does then go to a zone and try loading... in my case my graphics come back, though it is still unstable and I close the game and reboot at that point.

Just to confirm, although you say you are running all at Stock Speeds, I presume you have clocked your 6800GT OC back to the official Nvidia Stock speeds?

Also, I would suggest trying to run with your original Nvidia drivers that came with your graphics card and run the Driver Cleaner software between the uninstall and reinstall to remove any unused files.

Try increasing you AGP Aperture size to double your Card memory size and switch off AGP Fast Write too.

Obviously don't try all these at once but each one seperately and see how it goes.

Also, what screen res are you running at and what refresh rate while running in window mode?

i have the 6800gt clocked at 370/1.08; what it's shipped out at from the factory. I can fun 3dmark 2k5 @ 420/1.1 with zero artifacting/crashing; so should be fine. Most 6800gt's come at 350 but BFG clocks theirs to 370 in factory. I havn't had any issues before htis i coudlnt clear up so i'm assuming the cards fine.

I did switch off agp fast write as one of the first things i tried; and crashed just the same. When full screen its 1600x1280 w/ 75hz refresh and evertyhing jacked u. When in window; i usually have it nearly the size of my desktop quick alt-tab to aim/mirc) with a desktop rez of 1280x1024 w/ 75hz refresh. Fraps never lists fps dropping under 30 fps for the most part; nice and smooth.

I currently have the aperatuer set equal to video card memory; but wil fiddle with that i guese. Aperature size makes 0 difference on performance from my testing so sholdnt matter.

As for graphic drivers; i am currently running the newest aproved official nvidia drivers so that shouldnt be a problem. Every time i swapped driver sets; i uninstalled driers; rebooted into safe mod, ran driver cleaner 2-3 tiems w/ nvidia filter, then cab cleaner, and rebooted into windows ot install the updated drier package.

oh, and also; under full load my processor hits 40c and ideo card hits 80, so those two shouldnt be a problem. (80c is high for 6800gt; but shoudlnt have issues till 90+). temperatures checked w/ benchmarking software not just alt tabbing btw.
