Hey all I put together a E/Mo the other week to combine Energy Storage and Healing Prayers.. but found out I liked damage better. (already have 2 monks and a Warrior/Tank no real damage there)
lvl 10 or 11
Attributes
5 Earth
5 Fire +1
5 Energy Storage +1
5 Smite
2 Healing - for 3 breeze
Spells
Flare - fast cheap
Lavafont - cheap effective PBAE
Symbol of Wrath - cheap PBAE
Magnetic Aura - dodge
Armor of Earth - Deffense
Healing Breeze - heal
Aura of Restoration - heal
Ressurect
I am trying to be self healing damage dealer using Earth for deffense while Dealing PBAE damage with Fire and Smite.. Typical fight aura of restoration then Agro pull followed by Armor of Earth. Position my self and start the PBAE damage train and magnetic Aura if I get to 30% followed by Breeze.. all the while blasting with flare waiting for recharges..
any succesful E/Mo - PBAE Fire/Earth/Smiters have any suggestions.. or skill combo's?
Thanks for taking the time.

I cannot really answer. But because none did I'll post my coments to help. So like I say I cannot really comment but I can see your points are too spread out. You invest in 3 el competences and 2 mo competences. Drop one (or two) or you'll be weak in all of them.
Also, despite your defence and heal, I suspect you're gonna have a hard time tanking for your PBAE skills. You're a el after all.

I forgot, putting some kind of resurect into your built is a good thing. I don't understand PVE builts that doesn't have a res skill. Like the monk never die...lol

Way too spread out. Pick 2-3 attributes and go with them. Earth + Smite + Energy Storage would be interesting.

I *love* armour of earth for people wanting defence as one can keep it up all the time (lasts 30 seconds, recharge 15), but am really not very keen on magnetic aura unless you really know what you want it for.
That's because even though magnetic aura will help dodge at 75%, that applies only to *melee* attacks, it only lasts for 10 seconds at skill 12 (7 at 5) and it has a terrible recharge time of 60 seconds.
There are far better ways for an earth ele to dodge attacks such as either eruption or ward vs melee.
It's an OK skill for the purpose you have in mind, but I still think that there are better options out there, such as eruption which would both deliver damage and (after 5 seconds) blind your foes for a little while, which also prevents them from damaging your teammates.
As for skills in general, I would pick 2 out of the 3 skill lines earth, fire and smite. *Definitely* take some energy storage, but don't overdo it unless you're going for an ether renewal build or the like.
As for the PBAOE thing, you *need* the protection. The only downside is that earth doesn't start to get most of its decent damage spells (other than eruption) till later in the game. I think it's either in or after the jungle that you get earthquake and aftershock.
For the early game, fire does do well, especially in the north shiverpeaks, where most enemies are vulnerable to fire. Later on you can use your refund points to switch skill lines.

many thanks to you all for your thoughts... I am thinking of taking out smiting since there are really no effective damage spells and I dont want fire in there really at all but will use it for mobs that are weak against it. hmm maybe water/earth/storage/wee bit o healin... but alas I just made it to shiver peaks and will have to treak my way for new skills and understandings of skills...
again thank you all
