Unique completion of Iron Mines Bonus
kirgr526
Last night (well last night NZ time), a couple of guild mates were helping me get infused/complete the Iron Mines. We had triggered the Inquisitor bonus, well one of us had, in the midst of the rest of us clearing the area around the catapult by it. So we had to rush over and try to wail on the Inq. unfortunately, we (and the henchies) died apart from our healer (guild mate). By the time we got up again, the inquisitor had a fair lead on us so off we raced. We caught up with him just as he crossed a bridge near where he exits the map. Of course there is a large group of Mersat there, so we are in a major scrap to get to him. Most get through except me (die relatively earlier due to not being infused and all) and Lina (henchie). Lina gets me back up, only to find that there is a trail of the corpses of the rest of the group leading in the direction the inquisitor was travelling (he was alive and well at almost full health). In the process of trying to get people back up Lena and I bite the dust again. Now, you would think we would be gutted in having to do it all again, but low and behold we get the message/experience for completing the bonus! Now, I know I'm not crazy, but don't you need to actually kill the Inquisitor to complete the bonus? Has anyone else had this sort of thing happen to them?

Yeah, that excactly what happened to me.
We let him slip the first time.
Second time, we just glimpsed him at the portal before he went thru, and got the bonus once he were thru^^
I think it's how it's supposed to be

We were raining spells on him and got him to 50% when he went through the portal and gave us our bonus lol.

That mission is so buggy. When I did it, we had to travel WAY to the other side of the map to find Markis instead of finding him by his normal spot. Then we accidentyl triggered bonus and killed the inquisitor right where he spawned. It took us 15 seconds at most. But then another 20 mins was dedicated to finding markis then another 10 dedicated to going back to kill his guards.

It's probably because the bonus triggers when the Inquisitor is removed from the map, which is what happened. When I did the bonus, I just used pin down, making him move slower than he already was(pretty dang slow), and we killed him way before we even saw the portal. He was actually bragging about how we could never catch him when he died.

I remember in that same mission around where the inquisitor spawned there was a guy who ran past (from the direction of markis downwards), who when killed whold trigger the completion of the main quest. It was annoying because people kept killing him before we could get the inquisitor...
