no one has wrote too much about this yet...But i know ive been into some card games...like MTG and Yugioh.

Personally, i was never addicted to that sort of stuff...and the reason for that was because i didnt like the fact that buying packs and cards was the "skill" involved. Whoever had the best cards would win...and the only way to get good cards was to buy lots of packs, or ebay them.

Now i remember reading an article where one of the devs talked about the expansions. I know GW is saying that you DONT have to keep buying expansions...but if you dont your not going to get alot of skills, and even if they try and keep things even, you are GOING to be at a disadvantage.

So...once a few expansions come out.. youll need to buy them to play...

(I personally will be buying a few expansions, more my benefit, and to support GW, but after a few purchases..i might stop buying them...i mean it is pretty much 5.50 - 8.30 bucks a month the way there saying it. While thats not 15, like....::shudder:: WoW :shudder:: its still pretty much just like paying a monthly fee...)

So what can GW do to bypass that???...Well imho, Guild customization, more PvE, more things to do in Towns..all that should be top priority, and skills should come after

They could just have different formats for competitions.

they could add restrictions and stuff.. but then people are restricted, which doesnt make them happy...

i think they should just give everyone the new skills through patching, and just add extra places to explore, different armor/ weapons and content to expansions

It was one of the FAQ's/Interview's on the official web site and the developer equated the expansion to magic the gathering.

I don't see it happening (getting new skills w/o expansion) the developers have let it be known that game engine enchantments are for everyone (also includes when they added the Rune Trader, Rare Material, etc as well as the upcoming pvp point system) but content such as new missions / plots, classes, skills will be done via expansion.

I also played ccg's for a few years so I can see GW getting interesting for the 1st few expansion (where each is a must) until the is so much out there it becomes impossible to predict what strategy due to the sheer number of potential of combinations.

The thing is that guild wars skills don't seem to be better or worse than each other, they just seem to do different things and have different uses.
