Yet Another Glint Thread

After numerous failed attempts today with 8 player teams, I managed to finally slay that pompous all-seeing dragon, Glint... but surprisingly, it was with a group where half of the players had quit. As you can see in the screenshots, it was just me (Maeko -> R/Mo), a W/Mo, and an N/R with Alesia and Lina for backup.

I basically did the whole "grab the egg and strafe-dodge fireballs like mad" trick while the other two whittled away at Glint's health bar. I only stopped strafing to interrupt Crystal Hibernation (you can see me dropping the egg, interrupting, and then grabbing the egg again repeatedly) or provide a quick rez to the fallen W/Mo (the henchies totally ignored him for some reason).



Needless to say, it took a while... and my strafing fingers felt like they were going to fall off by the end. While it may be a piece of cake to the more established players here, I found it a challenging fight that required a bit of improvisation, and it was a heck of a lot of fun.

And boo, I say, to the quitters who left us... we didn't need your help anyway.

Do you have to keep hold of the egg for most of the time?
I'd have throught to just drop it as soon as you picked it up, and then pick it up again once she's dead.
I got her to half health with my full team of henchies, we just couldn't handle the Crystal Hibernation.

You keep the egg to distract fire.
Thus, she only fires fireballs at the poster, which he spent the whole time dodging.

Unfortunately not Drago. I was sort of hoping for some alternate cutscene or at least some good drops, but no luck.
