How do you know how much to sell an item for? It says Value: 3 gold sometimes, but it's FAR more expensive than that when selling to a merchant...

If i want to sell to a player online, how do I know how much to charge?

As in real life such as at a garage sale, an item is worth whatever the buyer is willing to pay for it. Unfortunatly though there are many players that have more money than they should have and thus if they see something they want they offer top dollar for it. Which of course leads to the current economic issues in the game.

ehh thats a little out of date. 100-10000 for sword pommel of fortitude should be 1000-100000. dont go buy what a merchent will buy an item for. an item worth only 1k-2k may be worth 500 at a merchant. however, an item worth 200 at a merchant may be worth 250k from other people. its pretty random how much things are worth at merchants, and when selling to people its all about demand. good looking items are worth ALOT if they are max dmg, w/ dmg mods
