I think a.net nerfed glint or something, i remember how hard it was to beat her about two months ago when i got my first char past ascention, she beat our entire group in less than a minute.

however, last week i entered dragon's lair with a group full of henchies, beat our way to glint without anyone dieing, and at the end i thought "ah, what the heck" and grabbed that dragon egg.
result? we beat glint in 2 minutes flat, the only skills i used were Poison Arrow {E} and Distracting Shot, all the other work was done by the henchies

all the killing power for a dead glint is in a ranger. you don't need anything else in terms of damage. seriously.
Apply Poison + distracting shot + savage shot for the win.

now to negate that damage... barbonded warrior

My guild did this 2 different ways, the first was a ranger kill (like the above poster) but I took my 55 monk for the tank and that took a while, but it worked great.

The 2nd time we had 2 Warrior tanks to soak damage and a necro with Grenths balance to do most of the damage, this method was FAST. One tank would eventually die, the other would rotate in while the dead tank was rezed.

Easy enough for a ranger to beat Glint with a group of henchies.

My build going into this was Oath Shot, Distract, Apply Poison, Whirling Defence, Throw Dirt, Rez, Troll.

Blind Glint, poison and distract as needed. Took a few minutes, but she went down quick enough. If a henchie was in trouble, I'd blind her, or use WhirlingD, and pick up the egg just long enough for her to go after me or some other henchie.

Henchies I used were Healer and Protector, Ranger, 2 warriors, mesmer and elementalist.

I don't see why people are making such a fuss about this. Just have a nerco bring or cap grenth's balance and Glint loses most of her health. My friend beat the mission and bonus with just henchies because of grenth's balance.
And I'm not saying an energy denial/shut down mesmer or a interup ranger or a protection monk wouldn't be helpful.

Grenth's balance doesnt work all that great once she reaches a certain amout of hp, the best way is just to interrupt the 2 or 3 of her "monster only" skills, crystal hibernation etc, first half of her health use magic, second half use physical, hmm or is it the other way around, either way intrrupts make it easy.

There are four skills/spells she uses

Jagged Skin - a stance in which 100 physical damage is done to everybody who is touching her physically. IIRC this stance can take place anytime.

Crystal Haze - this inflicts a prolonged exhaustion on a player if he or she casts a spell. Signets are not affected by this. IIRC I do not recall this happening after her health is at 50% or below.

Crystal Hibernation - It grants her +7 regen rate and also all elemental damage (i believe including weapons that has elemental damage such as fiery sword or whatnot) are translated into healing for her. This one is crucial and has to be stopped. She does not cast this until her health is at 50% or below.

I rarely see the fourth one so I cannot remember what it's called except that it's called Crystal something. Perhaps Trap or Escasement. Basically IIRC whoever has that casted upon himself or herself, he or she cannot move until it wears off. Due to the rare occurance of this, I suspect she does not cast it until her health is at crucial low.

Have you thought about Wild Blow for the warrior? That removes stances IE that crystal dragon skin

was thinking that myself skuld, cept none of us know the recharge time for jagged crystal skin...u could remove it and she throw it right back on...also, i've witnessed glint only uses jagged crystal skin after 1/4 of her health is depleted-until then she just atks and spams crystal haze...also i've never experienced the skill where u can't move (probably since i've never gotten glint that low T-T)

and as for crystal haze...small thing u missed...

ny SPELL or SKILL turns into exhaustion!!!

So if NYBODY-even the stance spam tank (not including adrenaline stances) doesn't have hex removal...BB energy *personal experience*

Crystal Haze applies to skills as well? I wasn't sure since the time I killed Glint as a ranger was few months ago and the recent killing was as a necro so all I had were spells. I do know for fact signets are not affected by this. I assume adrenline based skills are fine as well.

Are you sure hex removal would work? My Ranger had mesmer as its secondary and I tried hex breaker and all hex removal skills and if I recall correctly I was unable to block or remove the Haze.

As for Wild Blow - every PUG I explained about Jagged Stance, warriors often will say "wild blow!' and they often are the first to die. Those who didn't bring this skill often survive longer.
