Minions frozen in place

A couple of nights ago I was doing the Ring of Fire mission with my necro and when I would summon a bone horror it wouldn't move at all. It would just stand there on top of its former corpse and not follow, move, or attack. Once in awhile one would move to attack, then freeze and not move on with the party, but most just stood in place from the beginning. I had a similar experience a week or two ago in the So. Shiverpeaks. I was concerned then but the next zone the minions acted fine. Anyone have experience with this? A good part of the reason we failed that Ring of Fire go was because my bar was taken up with minions and spells for minions, that and Lina got hung up on something and nothing we could do would move her either. So is this a zone specific problem, an intermittent bug, operator error, or what?

yea some areas are like that. The AI isnt smart enough to go around some corners, and therefore your hench/minion is just running into the wall trying to follow you and failing to do so.

It isn't that they are getting stuck. Minions are very buggy luckily the thing you experienced rarely happens.

Nope, it's not that they aren't going around corners. I mean they didn't move one inch from where they are summoned, and it happened with almost every one of the minions, as in more than 90%. So it wasn't that. Well, as you say, they are buggy, so it must be a bug then. Totally kills the run when it happens to a minion necro though. Lina, now she got hung up on nothing, to all appearances. She was standing along a wall but the party moving in any direction did nothing, she moved not at all. That was bad, but making 3 slots on my bar useless did the rest.

Did you report the locations and problems you were having to Anet by Bug reporting or email??

Last week I had one form above the corpse....about oh, 20 feet above it! Just flying there. Bad part was when my henchies all decided to get high and join it. Here I was, all alone, with 7 henchies and a Horror floating above my head, with no way to get them down. I even zoned out and back, and there they were. Oh well, chalk it up for "Try again!"

It seems that minions sometimes don't follow you after when you die and become resurrected. They just stood on a corpse they came from, they attack enemies that are in range but they come back to that corpse after killing enemies.

As with the corners, that may be an additional problem, as are minions that focus on an unreachable enemy (different elevations or a thin ridge between them) and won't follow. But on several occassions, I've created minions and they'll fight a mob within aggro, but when the party goes to leave, they just stay there. Nothing distracting them, but they won't follow.

As to notifying Anet, I've got some screen shots at home, never think to send them to them however.
