This thread is to be used for making, discussing, testing, and trading signatures. Don't make another thread about signatures elsewhere or it may be merged with this one without notice.

The rule for signatures:

Signatures are great as long as they are not overbearing. The purpose of the forum is to read informative posts, and not to be distracted by large sigs. Hence, we must enforce a sig. height limit. Keep it small and simple. Posters here are restricted to a graphic signature 120 pixels tall by 500 pixels wide with a file size of less than 50kb OR 3 lines of text. A combination of the two can be made and you can have a graphic signature and one, two, or three lines of text but for each line of text your signature's image must be reduced in size by 20 pixels of height. A blank line also counts as a line of text. Sigs must be:
-No more than 120 pixels high
-No more than 500 pixels wide
-No more than 50kb
-No more than 3 lines of text and/or blank lines.

Text and pictures can be combined but adding text to your signature decreases the size of image you can have by 20 pixels. If you have one line of text your picture cannot be more than 100pixels tall. 2 lines, 80 pixels. 3 lines and you cannot have a picture at all.

Was wondering if anyone here was relatively decent with photoshop / imageready or Paintshop Pro that they could possibly make me a sig and avatar, I suppose I could do it my self but I'm not that amazing with it, and some of the signatures on here are far past the work I can do.

I was thinking along the lines of a forest green background with the guild wars logo, my characters name (Jeanette Harbinger) and my main class (Ranger). Does that help any ?

Do you have screenshots of your char and/or the greenery that you want used?

I never really bothered to take screen shots because I was
concentrated on playing the majority of the time haha

that's pretty badass nascent. I'd ask you to make one for me but i didnt take any screen shots when i played. maybe next time though. till then i edited one of the wallpapers on the gw site for my sig and av

Nah, yours is beyond good as is

And I used the quickmask tool to extract her character from the second screenshot, then just used layer masks, flattened transparent layer effects and some other little tricks. It's all a matter of just 'thinking outside the box' I've found when it comes to graphic stuffs.

Basically almost the same idea as the signature.
If you want, I guess I could put "Jeanette Harbringer" instead of the Guild Wars logo. Maybe March Hare would come up with something more original, though.
