Well, monk was my favorite class since I got the game, but I had no monk characters until a few days ago. I decided that my monk should be the sterotypical healing type, and started building from there. I tried it out in droknars and arena 4v4, and I must say, I can keep my team and myself alive very well. So heres the build.
Mo/Me
-------
Divine Favor: 12 (+1 hat)
Healing Prayers: 10
Smiting Prayers: 9
-------
Unused Points: Not sure
(the above is based on memory, so some pts could be in other places, and some could be more..not sure)
Healing Boon
Orison of Healing
Heal Other
Healing Touch
Blessed Signet
Zealots Fire
Bane Signet/Signet of Devotion
Ressurect
As you can see, I don't have an elite, but my build has worked pretty well so far..If you could recommend/suggest one it would be great.
Basically cast boon once you enter, then cast zealots right when you start, and just try to hide for awhile or something. Then orison/heal other(orison for less healing, heal other for drastic healing). Then whenever you are being hurt, cast healing touch on yourself, and bane signet if you are running and need to heal, or use signet of devotion for a quick free heal. Ressurect for obvious reasons. Blessed Signet goes great with Boon and Zealots. Its nice when I'm working with a w/n and they cast (umm..that spell that makes whoever attacks me diseased? its an elite..), and I can gain 9 energy for free. I love the signets because this build just eats energy, and those help me conserve/gain it while still being busy. Usually a warrior alone can't take me down (even though many have tried, almost all w/mo's). But then my team just targets all the eles and mesmers while the warriors are distracted.
And my explanation for zealots is just this: its fun. Not many people expect it atleast, and thats about my only form of actual damage output. I know I could use insp. magic from my mesmer class (I have before, channeling, spirit shackles, and mantra of recall) but I found that mantra only gave me like 11 energy (if you count the 15 spent, and the 26 gained). And I just replaced it with blessed signet for emergency energy, while the mantra would take a full 20 secs to be useable and would also cost me 15 energy, a defecit I could not afford. So I decided to go all-out monk. (The points in smiting where those converted from insp. magic)
Pros
----
-Major healing (boon+64 with divine favor bonus = 100 healing auto, without even adding your actual healing spell)
-Healing touch is also major healing because div. favor is doubled and cheap too
-Signets are free and very beneficial (atleast blessed is)
Cons
----
-Hard to take on two warriors at a time, hard to imagine how hard it would be to fight more..
-Loss of energy..fast.
I'm sure there are more, but for right now, these are the ones that come up more often.
Super Monk [Critique]

This would go very well with a blood ritual nec who also has curses, very good for mitigating warrior dmg, and you'd have more energy then you know what to do with. If you have a necro friend, buddy up.
As for an elite, try peace and harmony. You're offensive power will come from casting on yourself, so you'll never actually break it if it's not dispelled.

Hmm. Peace and Harmony would negate the effects of boon. And then I could take out bane signet, and just leave it as signet of devotion..I like that.
And for the necro thing, I'm not sure I comprehend..I am semi-new to this whole PvP build setup + combos..Would you mind explaining? How would a blood/curse necro help reduce the amount of damage? The only way I see is use enfeeble or something to give them weakness...
Oh yes, could someone tell me where to put the runes as well? I was thinking sup vigor, maj divine, and min healing prayersx2. Or do they not stack?

Ressurect Blessed Signet will only give you 3 energy, so it's better to switch it out for something like Peace and Harmony or Offering of Blood.
I would definitely use Signet of Devotion instead of Bane Signet, since with Divine Boon, energy is a problem.
You may want to consider Unyielding Aura, Vengeance, or even Resurrection Signet or Restore Life instead of Resurrect. Resurrect is a crappy mid-combat res, since it takes 8 seconds and heals for very little. It's not often that you both need to res more than once AND a second res is the difference between winning and losing.
You don't have any Hex/Condition Removal. Warriors with cripple, or Mesmers will destroy you quite easily. You may want to consider Remove Hex or Smite Hex, both of which set off Divine Boon.
Suggested Elites:
Peace and Harmony
Offering of Blood
Word of Healing (better than Heal Other, if you're using Divine Boon, in my opinion)
Unyielding Aura
As for the Necro connection, I think he means a teammate to help you. Blood Ritual (gives +3 energy regen to target other player for X seconds) will give you tons of mana and Curses will reduce the damage that your foes will do.
Runes don't stack. Personally, I use Superior Divine Favor (I tend to switch between Smiting, Healing, and Protection, but I always use Divine Favor), which would work well for you since it greatly helps Healing Touch, Divine Boon, Signet of Devotion, and all your other spells. I use minors for Healing, Protection, and Smiting. Use the best Vigor that you can afford.
