Misplaced Sword???

So I go to Hero's Audience, but Yort the Bronze just doesnt want to give me the Misplaced sword quest!! All the guy says to me is something along the lines of "you look just as buff as i was". Any idea why he isnt giving me his quest? Im already ascended, if that helps, although i couldnt get the quest even when i hadnt ascended.

Yort will give you the quest after you've completed a few other quests and/or missions in the desert. I never did figure out which ones exactly, but I think it's the majority of them.
