Here is a painting that I just completed for a fantasy anthology of short stories. It was called "Razor-Edged Arcanum", but was changed as I was working on it to "Sages & Swords". The publisher is Pitch Black.
But what JUST struck me is how much of the warrior on the stairs looks like an Elem model with a Warrior's armor... and how the sorceress could easily be a model for Mesmer. And the evil dude in the scrying area looks like he usualy hangs out in Fissure or Underworld.
No new ideas. Just iterations. sigh.
Still, I love this game's look. It has even infected my professional outlook.
