Sword or Hammer?

Hey guys i have a rare barbed gladius of fortitude and its max. I use sever atery and gash alot and i was wondering if there is a better combo of skills with hammers? Or maybe even axes? thanks. ALSO Whats this thing i have heard bout swords you can apply poison? or something. whats that bout? is it a skill or what?

I will tell you the same thing I always say "Keep a good hammer, axe , and sword on hand at all times." As a warrior you will need to switch between weapons depending on the area. I also personally keep a good longbow in case I need to pull. Dont committ yourself to a single weapon or you are really limiting the effectiveness of your warrior.

Apply Poison is a Ranger specific skill, so most likely the person who was referring to it is either a W/R or R/W; thus Apply Poison + Sever Artery = Very Nice Degen. As Destroyer says, it doesn't hurt to cover your bases and have an Ax, Sword and Hammer. In terms of combos/followups, just look on guildwarsguru's Warriors Skills page and just study the skill set.
