Yeah, I posted there. 
But the same with the 1v1 PvP thing. I wanted to see what people thought. My 1v1 thing had a poll and then got moved to this forum. Sadly, I can't create a poll here and will have no true idea of how many people want day and night.

We technically do have day and night; it just doesn't change and evolve continuously like MMORPG's do. But like Dreamsmith said in the original thread, Guild Wars is not an MMORPG; it's a CORPG, and it wouldn't make sense to have the world be "living" like it is in Final Fantasy XI or WoW.
Some missions are during the day, other missions are during the night, and I'm perfectly content with that.

Oh really? I wasn't aware that some missions were at night. That's pretty cool. I guess the idea will die if it's already half in the game.

Check out the fourth post that was in the original thread; killswitch added a nice picture to show visual confirmation that there are nighttime missions. Keep coming up with ideas though mbecker, and don't get discouraged.

I don't want a day and night cycles because sometimes day fits with certain missions rather than night. But I'd like to see a lot more night-time battles like Riverside. It really made me feel like I was sneaking around under the noses of the Mantle armies when I was cloaked in darkness and sprinting through the grass with my ranger and 5 other people. For some reason, it reminded me of a level on Rogue Spear. Heh. If it was a cyclic thing, however, what would Riverside become?

Basically, what Weezer said. Day and night missions are great, and currently it seems to work fine, although it would be nice if there was one mission pre-searing that would be in the dark and a bit sneaky-sneaky (i.e. you will get smashed into small bits if you aren't sneaky-sneaky
