Necro Skill Suggestion

Here's my suggestion on boosting the viability of the Necro Primary in PvP. I don't really have a breakdown on the energy cost or the recharge time or a cool name, so I'll just give a description and a goofy name.

Death Seal: Nearest enemy dead body can not be rezzed or used for any purposes (ie Putrid Explosion, Bone Minions, Vengenance, etc) for 5-10 seconds.

This skill would work like Putrid Explosion in that the Necro has to move into the same proximity of the dead body in order for it to work. You can only cast it once on a dead body, then the dead body would be come invalid for another Death Seal. I would imagine that the energy cost would be around 10 and the casting and recharging times would be average or quicker than average. And I don't know what attribute it would fall under (Blood, Soul Reaping, Curses, or Death), but probably Death I think...who knows....

My line of thinking is simply this...a Monk has all these Rez skills that bring a person back to the playing field, so why not give a Necro an anti-Rez skill as so to speak. I know that Frozen Soil already exists, but in a sense this would be a much scaled down version of Frozen Soil...

Edit: I guess to boost the viability of the Necro Primary, this skill would need to be linked with Soul Reaping then.

I had an idea that a dead body could be reused as a skill.

as you said, frozen soil already keeps players from being ressed, BUT it keeps ALL players in that area, no matter what team from getting ressed, so it could work against you if you use it, now with your skill it only affects one enemy player, so it has a lesser effect then soil, but also theres a lower risk in using it, i think it should have a fast cast time, but a long recharge, either that or a high energy cost, dont want it to become too powerful

well i think its a pretty good idea, and it would definately make necros more usefull in pvp

I think that is a good idea as well...

I find necros truelly useful, but elementalist primary necros are better simply because soul reap kinda sucks.

Why do you need to make necromancers more powerful? They already have an arsenal of skills to debilitate your enemies, or even kill them. If you want anti-res, get an elementalist or a mesmer. Both of those classes have interrupt spells that make it impossible to case any kind of spell, which is a way to do anti-ressing.

It's one skill, and it sounds quite good to me, you'd certainly see a necro in more team builds then, other than sacrifice builds.

This isn't the point of having an interrupt where timing is required...the point of the skill is to delay rezzing on a specific target. And like Alathys Tylderaan, my hopes is just to see more primary Necros in team builds; this skill I think, would complement a support type Necro best, but would be still useful in most Necro builds.
