Guild help!!

Can someone possibly make a link to somthing telling about the guilds..

I am confused is the guild thing part of singleplayer (e.g. storyline) or
is it like a clan//faction that other players create?

Also guilds are indeed clans/factions that are player created.

Lore is merely the story behind the game. Chapters are future expansions to the game.

So Guilds Can Fight eachothers in Arena's Like GvG (Guild vs. Guild)?

Well GvG sounds awsome..I am going to be in the last BWE this weekend will it be possible to try out GvG or PvP at all in it?

You can do PvP whenever but to do GvG you have to be in a guild.

I got one more question where is PvP enabled..can you enable it yourself by type /pvp or somthing or do you have to go to town or wilderness or an arena?

You can PvP when you get to Post-Seared Ascalon in the arena, and there's also an arena in Lion's Arch. Not sure about where the others are. Once you explore to those areas, PvP will be an open option.

If you make a prebuilt character, then your map will open up both Lion's Arch and the Tombs, and you can PvP there right away.

There are spposed to be 9 maps for PVP at the start.More may be streamed in later.

Someone came from WoW. Me too, btw. PvP in GW is nothing like WoW. Instead of ganking and zerging you have actual battles between same sized group. Amazing!! Win with strategy instead of being the Alliance and zerging.

It's entirely different. PvP only happens in arenas that are not free for all.

So when you enter a PvP arena and not GvG you do FFA?

There are various types of battle that you can participate in, I'm sure a full list is floating around somewhere here. Chances are someone really nice will post the different types here too... If your lucky.

GvG (guild vs Guild) sanctioned guild battles (issuing of challenges between guilds) - there are also different play options involved in this (defense..seige..for 2)

PvP (arenas) 4 vs 4 gladiatorial areas where random party groups are created and sent to wage battle (though if you intentionally go into there with four friends it's not so random for you anymore )

GvGvG - there is an option of this in an area of the Tombs it is actually 5 guilds...2 pairs facing off on each side..with the winner of each crossing to the middle to fight the odd one out...becoming a potential 3-way guild battle that only one can win.

a question on PvP:
i have a monk/ele player so im more of a role player than a straight 1v1 PvP player. However im playing with my brother and we arent too much into guilds yet, so is there any 2v2 PvP options?
