is it just me or is everyone wearing 15k armour these days???? I prided myself on being one of the first to get it in the beginning of this game but now everywhere i go i see people wearing the same armour. Are we a huge bunch of clones or what????

how about a option to build your own armour.

like you choose each little part of it a get it built for you then almost no1 would look the same

Well, that is a bit of an issue for him and I'm sure my Guild Leader had it first. Or is it the 1.5k armor he means??

As for the ability to have a change in Armor Looks over different people. Why not? We can change the way our character looks on startup, so why not a change in overall armor appearance. Ok, we know we can dye it, but that's not enough for some people.

This thread has probably already be done in other areas, so I won't even bother to comment anymore.

I think he meant that there should be more 15k armors out there to choose from. Since it is the "ultimate" armor, sort of, everyone wants it.

Although, not everyone wants the 15k armor. They think normal armors are nicer looking. Or whatever the reason is. And what comes to custom armors is loading times... even now, it takes a while to load all the armors in the outposts. So. Maybe something like this will be implemented sometime in the far future, but not yet it seems.

so, how about a 15k armour tailor?
you habe bought the armour, ne? you take it to him, and for another fee (yup, more cash into the economy and outa players stashes ^^) he can *customise* yer armour...my ranger friend grumbles that he prefers the long coat that he got in pre searing to the special 15k stuff, so how about you get the tailor to moddi the armour to look like your fave lesser stuff, but with extra piping, trim or spanky gold bits?

no, he means like (i think) that, when you buy your armour, you get your base stats, as in AL 60 +5 energy or AL 60 +1 energy +5 armour Vs blah, then you get to chose stuff like.
helmet: just lots of dif helmets, or dif face mask, changes dependin on class.
right shoulder: spikes, skulls, round, smooth, jagged ect.
left shoulder:spikes, skulls, round, smooth, jagged ect.
right forearm: spikes, engraving
left forearm: spikes, engraving
right wrist: spikes, smooth, engraving
left wrist:spikes, smooth, engraving
chest:engraving, guild symbol?
belt: no belt, leather belt no buckel, chain belt, cloth belt, rope belt?!
thigh armour: smooth, spikes, jagged, engraving
shin armour: spikes, lots of em
boots: just dif boots

when i say spikes, i mean curved ones, straight ones, wriggly ones ect.

so basically you get a very personal feel for your char, ALL the things would change depending on class, like instead of spikes for ranges, maybe animal bones, or animal skulls ect.

I personally like the idea of custom armor. Load times.. they are client times so won't lag servers. It's not much more than having each armor painted differently or every pc different in appearance - you just have to "split" the armor in some more "logical" pieces and add spikes and so on... I don't think it would take That much more. A cosmetic customization I always love and approve

yeah, thats what i said, spanky special bits :P

you could have both, if the tailor is good enought and you pay them enough ^^

I don't know how clever those guys are but i would love my ranger to have armour like a chameleon.
Imagine blending in with your surroundings. Stand next to something and after a few seconds you would blend in and become almost invisible. It would have no benefit when taking on mobs but in PvP, people would have to use their radar a little more for those pesky rangers.

Just an original idea to think about.

If Anet puts in that kind of PredatorComouflage, don't forget the Rambo-Knife as a weapon. Plus some NighvisionSkill and, of course, Sneak-Missions for those who love to rush, but would fail, because they can run, but they can't hide.

That's why all of us really cool folks are wearing the newbie armor now!
Who wants to look like every other demigod of destruction? Jeez..bor-ing!

No doubt, when the first expansion comes out it will have new textures up the wazoo...thats the easy part once the models are made. (Unless you are SOE, then it's "simply impossible!" Photoshop is oh so hard!)
