Adding People From PUG
Kalrakhi
How many of those people who you add to your friends list after forming a "successful" PUG do you actual stay in contact with? For me, I'd say zero. I have a very long friends list which none of them do I speak to or group with. Just wondered what others are like.

At first I did, but not any more. I had a fairly full friends list and I had only ever kept in touch with 1. Even now I've lost contact with him/her.

Most of my friends list is made up from people I met in PUGs. I have dropped off on most of them, however, more have remember me then I them. My character name is not easy to forget. There are about 10 people now from my list that I stay in contact with and play with. I look for mature people (age doesn't matter.) to enjoy the game with. I still wish I could write notes next to names on the list. So many of these names are just confusing to me..I tend to forget if they are female, male, male playing female, and so on.

I have about 6 that I keep in touch with. Once you get into a good guild then other friends fade a bit if you let them. I try to keep in touch but I'm not always good about it.
For me anyway the trick is in adding people that are talkative and patient. I don't add people just because we won through a tough mission or whatever.
Plus I clean house every other week. If I don't have a specific memory of them and they've been offline for any amount of days I drop them and add new.

I think 6, and they are the only people I go to UW or FoW with.

I've added a few. I did add an entire party the other day as we managed to stay in the fissure for over 4 hours and hardly anyone died at all.

i only add people from pugs i met in pvp.
works fine.
and i team often up with people from my list.
for pvm though i never added someone because if i got into a bad pug i just did the mission with henchies after that and for quests i never needed to join a grp.
so i never felt like adding people for pvm.
but i have to admit that GW is the 1st mmorpg that i didnĀ“t add people into friend list for pvm

I've added folks, but the really short friends list doesn't help matters, and the number of guildmates I have around results in my not needing to contact them often.

In a succesful pick-up group alone? Very VERY few. Don't think any I actually talk to from that only.
In a FUN pickup group, 3-4 out of 10. Not the most, but not bad either.
People you connect with because you enjoyed being around them over those who you were merely 'successful' with them, are for more likely to remain in contact with you.
