I recently noticed that everytime you close and relaunch the GW client your 'Chat Filter' and 'Interface Size' settings are defaulted back.

Does anyone know why this is... and if it will be changed for the release?

you must save your interface settings ingame. that information is stored on the server on a per character basis.
