I have just become aware of a problem where characters are still attacked and die during cut-scenes (in-game movies) causing their party to fail a mission.
The only way to avoid dying is if everyone quickly chooses to skip the cut-scene in order to return to the action and fight back.
This doesn't seem fair nor in the spirit of the game. Everyone should have the opportunity to watch all cut-scenes without the consequence of failing a mission.
I believe this is/or should be classified as a game glitch and should be corrected in the near future.

this happens a lot in elona as people like to run the first crystal, then the minotaurs attack the hell out of you.

I say, just have the game pause during cut-scenes. This would also help with timed missions.

Absolutely that should happen. It should be that way in all missions.
I have to ask why that isn't already the case?

Very good point. Seems like a major oversight if you ask me :P.

Now that I think about it, I think it might be a punishment for skipping over parts and using the cutscene as a escape route.

The cutscences are an aspect of spectator and Movie scripts... so its a little hard to pause the NPCs cause the NPCs are doing the cutscene animation. Best advice. don't rush to the cutscene till its safe to do so... Or skip the cutscene and continue fighting or RUNNING as it seems you must have been doing... There is no reason you could not have killed all the miniatours first before going to the Ghostly Hero. And in fact you should secure an area from a Story point of view for the mission to continue.

I've had it happen twice... once in Elona Reach and once at Riverside Province... and the one at Riverside Province was end mission so it didn't matter. (and then there's that guy in the corner at the end of the mission where you become White Mantle who is always getting attacked )
If people kill things instead of rushing for the cutscene, this would be far less a problem... but it is still a problem I guess, and perhaps one of the three million threads about it could have a valid solution hidden within them
