Armor Clarification

I've been reading up on all these armors, and looking at all the screenshots, but there's constant references to different types that I'm having difficulty discerning the difference between.

So let me get this straight... (using elementalist armor for clarity)

Desert Collector Armor: Only comes as generic elemetalist armor.
1.5k Armor: Comes in elemental specialities, same AR as desert armor.
15k Armor: Comes in elemental specialities, looks different than other armor, has same AR
FoW Armor: Comes in elemental specialities, looks different than other armor, has same AR

That's what I've come up with, which I'm sure is wrong. So if someone could clarify for me... thanks.

Elementalist armor... 1.5k armor has 60 defence, which is superior to that of desert armor. Looks exactly the same as desert armor. 15k armor has the same AR as 1.5k armor, and can be found in FoW, Marhans Grotto, and Granite Citadel. There's also rumor of some incredibly expensive 500k (or so) armor found in the Underworld, that looks eternal for warriors. EDIT: to clarify, that's 1.5k and 15k PER piece, while the 500k armor is totaled, and includes material costs.

That's a bit of clarification, but I still have a few questions.

-Does the 1.5k come in elemental fashions?
-Does the 15k armor from Marhan's Grotto and Granite Citadel look different than the 1.5k armor?
-Where exactly do you get the 1.5k armor?

Oh, and according to this the desert armor also has 60 AR...

1.5k Armor... is normal armor. Think of it like you would armor from Lions Arch (appearence-wise) It just costs 1.5k because it has the max AR attainable. I think that source is wrong about the desert armor, unless they changed it in a patch. It would be breaking past patterns with the armor. 1.5k Armor is found in Droknars Forge, which you get transported to after you complete the desert missions. And yes, the 15k armor looks different. Primarily the cost is because it looks different.
