Pulling mobs while playing with henchies

I'm a R/N and I'd like to know if it is possible to pull a small group of monsters away from the big group using longbow? Because everytime I tries to do that, my henchmen will all attack the monsters that I wanted to pull.

I know there is another method to pull monsters, that is to use the 'aggro circle' on the minimap. But this has a disadvantage when going against ranged mobs because once they start hitting me after I aggroed them, my 'brave' stefan and thom will just rush in and attack them while me and the others are running away.

So...are there any 'trick' to pull some mobs using longbow when playing with henchmen?

I dont think there is i may be wrong but hench attack the enemie you have targeted i guess you could try attack to draw an enemie and then click on the ground to move and the hench may come nack but u would have to be quick

Nah, doesn't work. Once you've triggered the attack (aggo'ed them), Stefan and Thom keep going.

what i tend to do (as a R/N also), is to run forward at the head of the group, tag the closest enemy with a long/flatbow and then run straight back the way i came.

thom and stefan do indeed charge in and might start attacking but once you pull back far enough they often come running to you aswell.

it attracts more enemies than you might want but at least you can control the flow thru a chokepoint or something.

Instead of using the bow, use a ranged skill (Not a bow skill, since that is considered an attack, but something like Faintheartedness should work) without actively attacking the monster. The henchies won't react to you using the skill which means you can pull back and drag the mob at least a little way before Thom and Stefan get in on the act.
