I have so often wanted to have a log of in-game messages...a player I wanted to add to my list, but forgot...a buyer interested in one of my items, but I getting disconnected at that moment...there are many such instances, and I figure just logging whispers to a txt file would be easy to implement and could be useful to many.
Wht do u guys think?

I support that. Though some kind of addressbook would be more fun to have. You could put people in different groups like "potential buyer" etc.
Along with that, some kind of mail-feature would be nice too, so you could leave messages to people who are currently not online.
Since none of my real-life friends are interested in online-roleplaying (i should drop'em ) I usually have to team up with people I don't know.

Mail boxes which can be accessed from a mailbox or postoffice NPC would be a nice feature...with a little:
*Ding* You have Mail!
*Ding* You have Mail!

Mail will always give rise to spam.

It would require a feature that you can receive mail only from people on your friends-list, unless you exlplicitly express your wish to be spamed.
And, of course, text only. No fancy features. Just plain text.

I love this idea. I have had some excellent games with groups, and would have so loved to keep the chat logs, if only for the wonderful humour that came out of it.
I support this idea fully, though obviously all chat would need to be logged (I don't know if you've noticed but the chat screen culls messages once it reaches a certain length). When I say 'all chat', I mean all chat the user was interested in (via the tick boxes). I don't know, just my thoughts.
