First of , Ive been playing an Air ele since the e3 for everyone event last year, so Im not one of those eles who recently joined because of the flavour of the week.


Anyway, I was thinking of an Infinate knockdown build, and I actually use it alot when farming and pvping . Basically its a combo that lets you knock people down infinatley without using up mana and getting exhausted.

But I would like to know if this would work in the later stages of tombs, I havent really had much intrest in trying it out, or the luck to even find a group without a bunch of new aeros


Anyway heres the build.

Enervating Charge, Inflict weakness and hit for 56 damage, 25% pentration.

Lightning Orb, Hit for 106 damage , 25% armor pentration

Stoning, Hit for 51 damage, and if foe is suffering from weakness, he or she is knocked down.

Ether Renewal, For 10 seconds , for each enchantment i have, I gain 4 energy and 45 HP, everytime i use a spell.

Aura Of Restoration, self explanitory
Air Attunment, Self explanitory
Death Nova, Just used for an easy enchant for when I use renewal
Soul Feast, Exploit nearest corpse to steal 188 hp.


Any suggestions? I really dont like going to the lightning surge skill set, i hate when i become exhausted..

Get rid of soul feast and Death nova. You'd be better off with Earth Attunement over death nova. If you are going to go Air and Earth, there is no reason to have any points in necro skills. All your extra points should be in Energy Storage.

I don't see how that's indefinate knockdown. You'd have to incorporate thunderclap in there, and then a constant energy booster to conteract the energy lost when thunderclap takes effect. In any case, stoning isn't fast enough to save you if a stray warrior comes after you, the recharge time makes it worthless at low earth magic as well. as for the air ele mindset, the whole point is to have massive spike damage, and to take out an enemy before they can react. Without chain lightning, surge, mind shock, ect. it's hard to do any damage at all. The basic cookie cutter combo is just using surge, and then chain lightning, so both spells have damage simultaneously, using lightning orb, then spamming lightning strike and orb.

Lightning spikers are useless after they run out of energy. I cant use thunderclap cause its an elite, and that would get rid of ether .

Take out ether renewel, put in either lightning surge or elemental attunment.
Take out soul feast and Death nova.... same thing with what Dzan said, go earth + air with energy storage, don't need death.

Try

1. Lightning Javelin
2. Enervating Charge
3. Lightning Orb
4. Stoning
5. Gale
6. Elemental Attunment
7. Air Attunment
8. Aura of Restoration or Earth Attunment

You still have the knockdown, but now insted of rebuilding your energy by using ether renewel, you now maintain high energy by using elemental attunment. Using both E.A. and A.A, you regain 80% of the mana you use in your air skills, allowing you to cast them almost constantly. The damage/knockdown technique is still somewhat the same, add gale for a desperate knockdown effect (Don't overuse it... exhaustion kills)

Energy leech... mm... you could go mesmer secondary to get some more energy. That's the lifeline of air spikers, as well as maintaining exhaustion. EDIT: er, managing, not maintaining.
