Wandering my own road.

15 seconds poison, regardless of attribute level.

Did they update this skill to be far less vague?

You think it is vague?

When someone dies it deals damage to everybody, and poisons them. A fun little trick I have seen is turn minions into Bomb Ombs.

At 16 Death it does 105 damage, but I don't find this spell very enjoyable. It's currently such a pain in the ass to target minions that it is very tedious to use.

Ingredients: 1 monk, 1 nec.
Step 1: Nec casts death nova on self; Monk stays out of aggro range.
Step 2: Nec runs into enemy mob, boom.
Step 3: Monk rebirth pulls nec.
Step 4: Go back to step 1.

Step 4: Go back to step 1. That may be a good strat, but when the Nec has 60% DP he won't be happy.

If you are killed fast enough after a resurection you dont get (more) DP, deaths under Vengeance & Unyielding Aura {Elite} do not give DP.

Let the necro cast death nova on himself as soon as he is resurected (5 energy shouldnt be a problem) & then suicide with a necro skill (or with Unyielding Aura) if nedeed but in PvE that wont be necessery.

Whats realy cool is when you have like 6 lv8-10 minions with death nova on them in the fray. Then someone stupid from the opposing team uses an aoe spell and they all go off simultaneously. Can you say "GOODNIGHT!"

I've always wondered how close does a foe have to be to be "adjacent"?

The funny thing is that because Death Nova goes off all at once, fixing the damage quickly is a bit of a pain. Only used it in the random arenas, but most people didn't like seeing this thing again (they'd had enough the first time they ran through Kryta -- the UD use this skill). The poison is the biggest part of the spell, but the damage isn't that bad, compared to other necro skills.

It's a useful skill for when a player is about to die anyway; warriors make the best targets for it.

If there's 2 necs, putrid on the first ones corpse more than doubles the damage to surrounding mobs. Add the 15 secs of poison, and woo.

You can capture it from a boss in Gate Of Kryta mission, the quest "Dropping Eaves" [ettin's back] or buy it from the trainer in The Amnoon Oasis

I think it resurects you for either 30 seconds or as long as the monk keeps the enchantment. If the Necro dies, no death penality occurs. So, use Death Nova and die, so you don't suffer any more dp and you do massive damage to your enemies.

You can also sic your minions on a target, then pick any one of them and do the old Nova -> Taste of Death combo. Targetting the right minion isn't an issue then, as you'r not switching targets between spells.
