That said, perhaps if they added areas with a seriously heavy PLOTline rather than QUESTline, maybe it would work. People who want to RP don't generally do it for the reward at the end of the session. They do it for the fun of playing someone else--whether it's someone much like their true-life personna or someone completely foreign to RL. So if this were to work, I would think that heavy story-driven areas with smaller rewards might work to attract RPers and leave the quest-driven areas to the...er... other crowd. |
