Warrior Droknar's Forge Armor...

I just reached Droknar's Forge and would like some advice on what armor I should get.

Does the Knight's Armor "Reduces damage from attacks" stack, region specific or a global effect?

I was thinking of getting:
Platemail Helmet
Platemail Cuirass
Gladiator's Gauntlets
Gladiator's Leggings
Knight's Boots

Um I think it's region specific and absorption rune is global.

I'm sure ensign has some 9 page report about it somewhere.
