When I open the Guild Wars beta client it has the little lightining bolt along with how much iv downloaded, this seems to be constantly downloading, is there a certain amount to download, or is this just a constant thing?

it is updating content

sometines a few bits or the last bigger one was 45.6 megabytes

If you are just starting there will be a large download

you might leave it downloading in the background
