I use F1-F8 to target teammates 1-8 and c, then spacebar for attacking. I use the mouse for all of my skills, movement and camera orientation. This results in a lot of clicking but allows you to keep the battle in the perfect perspective. Being a monk is the only reason I use F1-8 to target teammates....it's just a lot easier than clicking their smallish names....especially when you then have to click a heal skill after that.
I don't use the number keys for skills because I start to memorize them and very few skillbars remain forever the same.....mine is no exception. Specific enemy targeting is a bit more of a challenge having to use c and tab but it's easier than the time it takes to pick them out with the mouse.
I do wish they'd bring back the item targeting key (I think it used to be ";"). It made soloing a lot quicker and helped make sure you didn't leave anything on the battlefield. Still puzzled as to why they took it away?

I've found that it doesn't take too long of a time to get use to a new skill configuration, and oftentimes, in the thick of battle, it's much, much faster to hit the keys than to move the mouse around.
I have yet to try the WASD movement keys, but that's something I really want to try this next BWE, because I've heard that the camera movements are much more stable that way.

I've found I like the WASD for movement. It does allow good camera movement and control. My sister tries to play using nothing but the mouse and that just pains me to watch.

Yeah, my sons keep chiding me about trying to do everything with the mouse, and I have to admit that I see the advantages of being more keyboard adept. I don't think there's any way to easily straiph or backup with the mouse, and your right, Granamyr, that trying to target things by clicking on them when the screen is full of friends & foes, is an exercise in frustration. So I will be practicing some new keyboard manipulations during the last BWE and hopefully I'll get to the point where my boys won't be yelling, "DAD!...What are you DOING!?" quite so often.

all default for me, i found it just takes time to get used to something, so i just dont move stuff around so i get used to it faster.
