Hmm...
I just realised what has happened, when I was all new and nooby I spent all my money buying my skills instead of doing the quests (hey, gotta try them out!)
Then on my subsequent chars, I started doing the quests, and now the difference is clear.. I have significantly more skill points and skills costs a lot cheaper for my new chars than my first one!
Lately I switched my secondary to Necro (from ElMo) and I'm doing the quests now to earn some of those necro skills. Is there a way to solve the problem of expensive skills at the trainer? It is costing almost 1 plat now
Oh no... i really stuffed up my char.

Heh, that's one of the problems of switching your secondary. I did it recently as well, and there's hell to pay to try to get skills. As far as I know all you can really do is a couple early quests that will give you some and from then on you just have to buy them all. If there's another way I'd really like to hear it as well... I'm completely out of skill points and I'm still way behind on skills.

Skill points come easy if you frequent the temple.. it is the price that is a killer
Soon it'd be what? 4 plat a skill?
I've unlocked all secondaries and do intend to slowly try them out. I think there really should be an upper cap on the price of a skill. If anything there should be a discount! For being a frequent customer!

Heh. Well, I guess you just have to save up... after all, they are skills, and skills are basically the focus the game. So, if you think about it, they really are worth it.

I would advise to only buy the ones you think you are going to use. There are a significant number of skills that you may not see much use for.

Hmm.. one thing that I'd hope the devs to change is.. each time you do a quest, regardless of whether the reward applies to you or not, to unlock the skills that are rewarded.
For instance the wayward monk gives 2 skills as a reward but what if someone did it, then subsequently changed to Mo secondary?
Hence currently it is actually possible to "exploit" the system by rushing through the game, then coming back to do all these quests with the appropriate subclass. Might as well just do away with such unfairness and make it keep track of what skills you already earned.

wait so when you switch your secondary you receive all the skills that you unlocked on that class?

That's what I'm hoping
Else let's think of it from another perspective, why do those quests when you know you can change your subclass after ascension and get those skills?
