Tapestry Shred

In the beginning of the game, if you give Gwen all the things she want (a cape, a flute and 2 flowers), she gives you something called Tapestry Shred.
What is this for?

Now ... nothing.

It has been taking up space in my inventory for 200 gameplay hours now in the vague hope that it will be useful someday.

I found the same tapestry sherd somewhere around Fisherman's Haven. I guess the quest isn't done yet....but I'm almost sure that it's going to involve Gwen.

Currently, the tapestry shred, Gwen's broken flute (post-searing), and the last Post-Searing Gwen Item (can't think of name, but found by Fisherman's Haven) do nothing at all, I believe as I have found nothing to the contrary.

Is it possible to trash it and find it again sometime later? I'm trying to clean up the inventory and every little spot helps .

Ive heard that if you give to sarah (Gwens mum) in underworld, something happens... But i always forget to bring all 3 items ... must try, i dont think they have finished that part of the game though... I hope you can get a mint reward for it... like 40k gold ... now gold as a reward... imagine!!!

Could Some one plz try give them to sarah in the underworld and see if any thing happens.

tried it. brought the shred the cape and the flute. first did some quests then visited sarah... nothing happened.

theories:
still lacking items.
need to bring a flower from pre sear too, maybe.
damnit i BOUGHT the cape from a friend... maybe thats the problem...(ashes, anybody?)

need to complete all or more uw quests. maybe we can even meet gwen down there somewhere and THEN to talk to sarah.

wouldnt be surprised if there was a piece of the puzzle in FoW

my last theory is: gwen is teh ubar leet evil. its so freaking hard to find her, because IF someone does, gwen will eventually go bananas and destroy everything in a way, the lich couldnt even think of in his moistest dreams.
and i am talking of complete destruction of the gw universe. the ultimate death combo, finished by a total server shutdown.

like the story of the monks, that believed, if someone could guess the real name of god, the universe would stop to exist. Because the purpose of the universe was just to create a being that will recognize god. and if that purpose was fulfilled, there was no more need for it and would cease to exist.

When you are in Presearing and you get the tapestry shred from Gwen you can give it to her mom while still in presearing. Her mom Sarah is near the ressurect portal in the town of Ashford in Lakeside County. However, she only appears about 1/100 times and i've only seen her once.

One more theory: get lots of shreds and you get a whole tapestry to do something with...?
