i dont really know what fissure set i should buy, i was thinking about ascetics for the + energy since monks dont really fear physical damage, im scared of elemental, and +5 al against elemental costs much more and isnt better than the + energy imo. what do you guys think i should get?

My monk wears the Ascetics - power is gooooood. And the elemental doesnt really cost more in the end, since the materials needed for the tattoos is so much more expensive to make.

If you're in PvE, you probably want Ascetics, since if you're playing right, you won't be hit much, but you'll run out of mana a lot. In PvP, the opposite is more true, so Censor's or Wanderer's is good. For reference, +5 AL = -9% damage, +10 AL = -16% damage.

I would alway's recomend Tats on Feet and Hands. On Chest I would recomend the + Elemental, and on Legs I would recomend the + Physical. This is simply due to the fact that, most spells will hit your head or chest. And all physical attacks have around 25% chance of hitting your legs. Feet and Hands are rearely hit, so grabbing that +1 energy on each is useful at times.

Of course, if you are a Mo/Ele with some earth spec then the minscule amounts added from your base armor are nowhere comparable to the amount added by armor of earth, and kinetic armor, so going with full tatoos is the best choice.

I use Censor's armor on legs and chest. I use tattoo's on the arms and feet. It gives you the same energy as a full set of Wanderer's armor. I prefer the protection vs. physical for PvE and PvP, PvE because I tend to farm alot alone.

This is exactly what I have (1.5k, though, not Fissure). It's a good balanced design. In addition to soloing and PvP, the defense comes in handy if you're a Mesmer sub and want to use Channeling, which requires being near mobs and can sometimes get you aggro. Admittedly, though, part of the reason why I chose this was because 125 parchment would have been too expensive.

Hmm, if this is the case, you may want to change your password or PM an admin about this.

Me thinks someone was embarrassed by a past question?

If that's the case dbgtboy, you have nothing to be embarrassed about (except maybe bumping and old thread).

May as well toss in some more armor combos!

Being a Boon Prot monk, I use Acolyte's for the +10 while enchanted on the chest and torso. For hands and feet, as..ce.. tattoos for monks!
