Today I ...

Played in an intelligent, friendly, fun PUG. We went from D'Alessio to Ventari's with the same people roughly (minus one or two along the way) - all the missions as well as primary quests.

While in Ventari's after sending my LFM Tank message - usually having "Beat your meat!" in it - I started a conversation with a guy on pub chat. After I finished Blood and Smoke (and getting Flame Trap!) he was there, as well as another. I had the best pub chat time ever, there were about 5 good people there just talking.

Safe to say, it's the end of the world!

You see so much depression of the normal PUG/community, so I thought I'd brighten your day ... or show that an evil force is striking down idiots everywhere. It's all good!

Have a great day,

Ascension

EDIT :: I also ran Dunes on a caster monk (with Ascalon armor) with a PUG ranger today. We had flawless teamwork and made it past it all - even the dreaded hamstring! Again, all in one day, good PUG's = gg it's armegeddon!

EDIT2 :: Sadly, I don't remember two of the roughly 7 great people I met. The ranger runner and the ranger who got flame trap with me.

Thank you for bringing hope back into my life. Too bad I don't know the next time I will be playing.

No evil force would strike down idiots. Only the divine hand would purge the shallow end of the gene pool from our midst.

I have noticed the number of idiots going down as well...although, there are still a few, not as many as a few weeks ago.

I am pretty sure it's the work of Grenth; I am not even asking where the bodies are

Hell, yes. So many undead. Weird undead creatures that rush your group like retards, get killed in few seconds and then yell to the skeleton monks:

(demonic voice)"Whaaaaaaaat the foooooooockk!!! Whyyyy didn't you heeeaaaal meeeee, you n00b monk!!111!!"

Huh.

Do I see a coincidence there?

Normally I do things with henchies, its just more 'safe' that way to me at times, however on my monk, I can't very well be in front, a monk/mesmer is well and good but aren't made to be swarmed with baddies, especially a healer/caster/energy vamp of sorts.

I was in a PUG yesterday, and we made it half way through Frost Gate, unfortunately two of them got D/Ced, or one left due to being lagged. Instinctively I have a leadership approach and suggested the only W/Mo we had left to take up the lead, since they're more able to take damage than a Mo/Me or R/W is. Suffice it to say we lost a third person and so three down, three up, we got slaughtered. It was confusing to say the least. I don't type well in shorthand, bad habit of typing properly for years. I've always preferred TS, just something to make things a bit easier so I can focus on the game itself.

It was enjoyable while it lasted, I suppose I will have to try again. I ran through with a PUG in Borlis Pass and that was enjoyable, they were patient enough for me to eat dinner when I had to, attempting to get to the bonus which was being annoying. The ice wouldn't break XD.

Anyway, so far, my experience with full PUGs or mostly PUGS and guildies has been rather good, a few bad apples that were... disturbing, but overall a good experience, I'm just a bit... antisocial and wary of teaming up at times due to monk abuse, I do the best job I can if I'm one monk out of six, five non-monk professions period is hard, but anyway, I'm rambling now. So, I'm glad to see how well groups can work together, something I haven't seen in a while, or at least not heard of in awhile...
