I have met the guild leader of a guild and seemed to like him. I met many of his officers and decided I liked them too. I wanted to find a way to have a connection with that guild without putting 30 new members onto my friends list. What I suggest is putting a Guild Friends List on the Guild Window. It would let you enter the names of guilds that you like and if the leader of the invited guild approved the request for friendship, your guild could see a complete roster of the opposite befriended guild, and vice versa. It would make it easier to practice matches with GvG battles and also to let the two guilds be one, without actually merging. I can say that this idea would probably be seconded by a couple of people and would DEFINATELY improve the guild experience within the game. A co-operative guild system would be beneficial to all, instead of relying on random connections with the other guilds members. Please review this suggestion, I understand that it would require a lot of work but the end result would be highly productive.

Fully agree and fully supported!

I would also like to have Guild Alliances for, as you said, non-rated guild matches and also perhaps you could work together on matches as well.

I agree to this and I also want to suggest that there should be an ally chat added with it.

thank you all. I have posted this in two places and gotten some additons from both. The allied chat channel is a great idea and also, from Guild-Hall.net Hahman14 suggested that in response to the guild alliance tab, there should be a guild nemesis tab also, to show rivaling guilds and enbale Rated Matches to be even more interesting with the personal rivalry. Making Guild Wars more of a true war experience would be great, and this is exactly one of the thigns that will help accomplish that. I just hope that Anet gets the suggestions, anyone have a clue as to where i can send this to get it directly to Anet?

wow, now thats a very good sugestion, hope the devs are watching this rigth now^^
The whole idea would make the game more social, plus adding that guild at WAR feeling that sems to be missing...if implemented, it would be just a matter of time before real guild wars start, with enemy and allied guilds all over the place O.o

Yeah, I really like this idea, I know we have guild leader friends that I wouldn't actually want to merge mine with theirs, but allied chat channels would rock. This would be great for GvG as well. Maybe they're could be an additional separate area of the guild halls that could be just for allied guilds to meet with each other. Oh, and ANet reads this posts as well...

awesome suggestion

one thing to consider...if 2 guilds are allies, don't let them meet in tombs...this could lead to ghost guilds exploiting it

love the idea ... but think how large the window will get after say 4 sister guilds with 30 members each ... aside from the actual GUI ... I reqally like the idea

Well maybe in the Guild window you could have tabs with the sister guilds in them.

Might as well support the idea. (won't really effect me)
